Extensiv Integration FAQs: your 3PL's warehouse system, your own multichannel OMS

Extensiv (formerly 3PL Central, after absorbing Skubana) runs the warehouse management behind a large network of third-party logistics providers, connecting brands and 3PLs through order routing and billing tools. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) sits on the brand side of that relationship: it aggregates every sales channel you run, sends fulfillment-ready orders to your Extensiv-powered 3PL, and keeps inventory synced across everywhere else you sell.

Extensiv Integration & Setup

How the InfiPlex Extensiv connection works, and what it's actually for.

What is the InfiPlex Extensiv integration?

The InfiPlex Extensiv integration connects an Extensiv-powered warehouse or 3PL to the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. InfiPlex aggregates orders from every sales channel you run, sends fulfillment-ready orders to your Extensiv-based 3PL, and pushes the resulting tracking back out to the originating marketplace — all while managing real-time inventory sync across channels that Extensiv alone doesn't handle.

What is Extensiv, exactly?

Extensiv is the rebranded name for 3PL Central, which merged with the Skubana order-management platform and other tools in 2021 and unified under the Extensiv brand in 2022. It's widely used by third-party logistics providers to run warehouse management, and by some brands directly for order routing across their own fulfillment network.

Do I need an existing relationship with an Extensiv-powered 3PL?

Yes — this integration connects to a warehouse or 3PL that already runs on Extensiv, whether that's your own warehouse operation or a third-party logistics provider you've contracted with. If you don't have an Extensiv-based fulfillment relationship, InfiPlex's own order and shipping workflow already covers 100+ carriers directly.

How do I connect Extensiv to InfiPlex?

Setup is quick and simple: after you sign up, our USA-based team provisions your OMS site within 1–2 business days and links the Extensiv account using its API credentials. There's nothing to install and no developer needed.

How long does Extensiv setup take with InfiPlex?

Most sellers are live in 1–3 business days. The connection itself completes quickly; the rest of the window goes to confirming which order types route to your Extensiv-based 3PL versus other fulfillment options.

Section 3 of 5 · Important distinction

Extensiv Integration vs. InfiPlex's Own 3PL Connector

These solve related but different problems — worth being clear about which applies to you.

Is this the same as InfiPlex's 3PL Connector program?

No, and the distinction matters. This Extensiv integration is for brands whose own fulfillment (or their 3PL's warehouse) runs on Extensiv's WMS, connecting it to InfiPlex as a fulfillment destination. InfiPlex's separate 3PL Connector program is InfiPlex's own offering for 3PLs who want to run their client brands' entire multichannel operations — sales channels, inventory, and orders — through InfiPlex itself, with each client in its own Site Area.

I'm a 3PL running Extensiv — should I use this integration or the 3PL Connector?

If you're already running Extensiv as your WMS and simply need it to receive fulfillment-ready orders from a brand's multichannel operation, this Extensiv integration is the fit. If you want to offer your client brands a full multichannel OMS — channel connections, inventory sync, and order management — under your own service, the 3PL Connector program is built for that instead.

Can I use both at the same time?

In some setups, yes — a 3PL could run Extensiv for its own warehouse operations while also offering the 3PL Connector program to clients who want InfiPlex managing their full channel mix. Our team can help figure out which structure fits your business during onboarding.

Does Extensiv itself compete with InfiPlex?

Not directly — Extensiv is primarily a warehouse management and 3PL billing/routing platform, while InfiPlex is a multichannel order and inventory management system. Many operations use both together: Extensiv for the physical warehouse execution, InfiPlex for the channel-facing order and inventory layer.

What if my 3PL switches away from Extensiv later?

Because InfiPlex owns the channel connections rather than Extensiv, switching to a different WMS or 3PL later doesn't require re-connecting every marketplace — only the fulfillment routing destination changes.

Inventory Sync With an Extensiv-Based 3PL

How InfiPlex keeps inventory accurate when fulfillment runs through Extensiv.

How does inventory sync work with an Extensiv-based 3PL?

InfiPlex maintains one master inventory pool, and every sale on any channel — Amazon, Shopify, or anywhere else — updates available quantities everywhere in real time, including what's reflected as available at your Extensiv-run 3PL location.

Section 5 of 5 · Plans & costs

How it works

How the InfiPlex Extensiv integration works

If your 3PL runs its warehouse on Extensiv, InfiPlex becomes the layer that feeds it clean, aggregated orders: every sales channel you run pulls into one InfiPlex queue, fulfillment-ready orders flow to your 3PL's Extensiv system, and shipment confirmations plus inventory levels flow back — all reconciled against a single inventory pool that also covers any channel or warehouse Extensiv itself isn't involved with.

Flow diagram: Extensiv sends new orders to the InfiPlex Order Management System about every 15 minutes. InfiPlex pushes tracking numbers and real-time inventory back to Extensiv, and routes orders to Your Sales Channels, Other Warehouses / 3PLs, Other Carriers for fulfillment. The InfiPlex Extensiv sync rail: orders ready to fulfill flow from the OMS into your 3PL's Extensiv-powered warehouse; Extensiv returns shipment confirmations and inventory levels; and InfiPlex pushes tracking out to whichever sales channel the order came from — while inventory stays reconciled across every connected channel in one pool.
