Section 1 of 5 · Getting connected

ShipStream Integration & Setup

How the InfiPlex ShipStream connection works, and what it's actually for.

What is the InfiPlex ShipStream integration?

The InfiPlex ShipStream integration connects your existing ShipStream account to the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. InfiPlex aggregates orders from every sales channel you run, sends fulfillment-ready orders to ShipStream for pick, pack, and ship execution, and pushes the resulting tracking back out to the originating marketplace or storefront — all while managing real-time inventory sync across channels that ShipStream itself doesn't handle.

Do I need to already have a ShipStream account?

Yes — this integration connects an existing ShipStream warehouse account to InfiPlex, whether that's your own warehouse or a 3PL that fulfills on your behalf using it. If you don't use ShipStream, InfiPlex's own order and shipping workflow already covers 100+ carriers directly.

How do I connect ShipStream to InfiPlex?

Setup is quick and simple: our USA-based team links your ShipStream account through its API during onboarding. There's nothing to install and no developer needed.

How long does ShipStream setup take with InfiPlex?

Most sellers are live in 1–3 business days. The connection itself completes quickly; the rest of the window goes to confirming which order types route to ShipStream versus InfiPlex's own fulfillment or carrier connections.

When to Use ShipStream vs. InfiPlex's Built-In Fulfillment

Both are available — here's how sellers typically decide.

Do I need ShipStream if I use InfiPlex?

No — InfiPlex includes its own order and shipping workflow across 100+ carriers, so ShipStream isn't required. This integration exists for sellers who already run their own warehouse on ShipStream, or who fulfill through a 3PL that does.

How it works

How the InfiPlex ShipStream integration works

Think of ShipStream as the warehouse execution layer, and InfiPlex as the layer above it that aggregates every sales channel into one order queue and keeps inventory accurate across all of them. InfiPlex sends orders that are ready to fulfill over to ShipStream, your warehouse team picks, packs, and ships them using ShipStream's configured workflow, and InfiPlex pushes the resulting tracking back out to whichever marketplace or storefront the order came from.

Flow diagram: ShipStream sends new orders to the InfiPlex Order Management System about every 15 minutes. InfiPlex pushes tracking numbers and real-time inventory back to ShipStream, and routes orders to Your Sales Channels, Other Warehouses / 3PLs, Other Carriers for fulfillment. The InfiPlex ShipStream sync rail: orders ready to fulfill flow from the OMS into ShipStream for pick, pack, and ship execution; ShipStream returns shipment confirmations and inventory levels; and InfiPlex pushes tracking out to whichever sales channel the order came from — while inventory stays reconciled across every connected channel in one pool.
