The AV application manages media files for the website such as MP3 and MP4's. MP3's are the preferred format for audio files on the internet and MP4 is the preferred format for video files. If you don't see the AV application on your InfiPlex dashboard you can install it by selecting the green Manage Applications button under the Site Area Name where you want to manage your AV files.
Uploading files to the AV system
The first step in getting audio and video files into the AV system is to upload them through the Upload File tab of the AV dashboard. Use the browse button to select any files from your computer that you wish to upload to the AV library. You can upload multiple files to upload at once by holding the ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking on the file names you wish to upload. You should get a Save Successful message once the file has been uploaded and the newly uploaded file(s) will appear in the File List tab of the Upload File section on the AV dashboard.
Deleting files that have been uploaded to the AV system
Deleting a file from the AV system will remove it from InfiPlex entirely. Deleting files is done from the File List tab of the Upload File section on the AV dashboard. Check off any files you want to delete. You will be asked if your are sure you want to delete these files. Once they are deleted, there is no retrieving them, they will need to be reuploaded if they are to be reinstated.
