Back Market IMEI number management

Effective January 1, 2022, sellers will be required to provide an IMEI (a unique identification number) for every smartphone sold on Back Market.

Back Market sellers can use InfiPlex to submit IMEI numbers for all orders they ship. Per Back Market, the IMEI number can be provided for the order up to 24 hours after the order has shipped.

Set-up for IMEI smartphone managmenet with Back Market

  • First, enable the Identifiers Settings in InfiPlex.
    Go here to turn on the option for IMEI numbers. Be sure to use the setting of imei to enable the ability to add IMEI numbers to packages created in InfiPlex.
  • Second, add your IMEI numbers to the packages created in InfiPlex.
    After you have created a package, you will see options to add your identifying numbers. Below is an example of the IMEI number for an order. There will be an IMEI line item for each individual item ordered.


    The number information is auto saved as you enter it as part of the historical order data located in the package information. Once saved, it will be queued up in InfiPlex to send the IMEI information to Back Market as part of the order information stored at Back Market.
