InfiPlex Restock Alerts

Last Updated: Jan 24, 2020

Learn how to have InfiPlex Invnetory & Order Management System (OMS) email you daily restock alerts for products that need to be restocked in your warehouse. The restock alerts are based on your product delivery lead time, safety stock level, current inventory level and sales over the past 180 days.

InfiPlex Restock Alert Settings

The Restock Settings are located on the Settings > Base Settings > Warehouse page. To start receiving your daily Restock Report via email, simply add your email address to the restock_report_email setting. You can add multiple email addresses separated by a semi-colon.

The email report gives you everything you need to make a restocking decision:

  • Sales (180 days) = Total Sales the past 180 days
  • Sales (60 days) = Total Sales the past 60 days
  • Sales (14 days) = Total Sales the past 14 days
  • On-Hand Inventory = the quantity on-hand in Inventory the time the report ran
  • Reorder Point = the point you need to place a new inventory order
    • This takes into consideration sales velocity and the delivery lead time you have set to get the item into stock

The email does not tell you how much to order, it leaves that up to you. So as an example if we look at the the first SKU below, you can see that the system is currently recommending that a restocking order be placed. You can use the Sales (60) column as a quick reference to see that you should probably order around 20 each for a 2 month supply. The second line item in the email report shows a current On-Hand inventory of 7 each and sales in the last 60 days of 53 each. Ordering 48 each would give you approximately 2 months stock (48 + 7 each on hand).

Deliver Lead Times

The Delivery Lead time is how long it takes to place a warehouse order and receive the restock order for the SKU. That number figures into the calculation for the reorder point based on sales and the consideration of how long it takes to get the product into the warehouse. You can adjust a SKUs delivery lead time from the Inventory page or when you use the Price & Inventory Upload file.

Orange Rows on the Inventory Page

Orange rows on the inventory page also alert you to a SKU the system sees as needing to be restocked. Note that it takes into account the lead time and Reorder Point you have set for each SKU. So some SKUs may appear on your report simply because of your Reorder Point setting, not because of actual sales.
