This document outlines how to create a SKU Inventory Group that shares inventory levels across multiple SKUs.
InfiPlex SKU Inventory Groups Tool
The SKU Inventory Group tool allows you to create an association between a group of SKUs so they all use the same inventory level. When you create a group, you add a list of SKUs, separated by a comma, to create the associations. Then any inventory change made to any SKU in the group will also be made to all other SKUs in the group.

- You can access this tool under the OMS menu Inventory > SKU Inventory Groups.
- All SKUs need to already exist in your Inventory/Product listings.
- Initially setting all SKUs to use the same inventory amount:
- Use the Tools > Price & Inventory Tools to upload an inventory level for one of the SKUs
- This will hard set the uploaded SKU and any associated Group SKUs to the same inventory set in the upload file.
SKU Group File Upload
The SKU Group File Upload tool allows you to manage your SKU Groups with a .csv file. You can download the example file to start and then fill out the sku_group_name field and the associated SKUs.

- Download the example file and use that as your starting point
- You can re-upload the .csv file and it will over-write an existing Group Name
- All SKUs need to already exist in your Inventory/Product listings, otherwise they will not be saved as part of the Group
How SKU Group Inventory Updates Work
When the SKU Group is created, it tells the system to start incrementing and decrementing all SKUs in the Group if orders are received for any SKU or if you make a manual update on the Inventory page. The manual update will add or subtract the given number to all SKUs. So if they don’t have the same inventory to start, they will remain off until an inventory file is uploaded using the Price & Inventory Tool or an FTP inventory pull is made.
An inventory file upload only needs to include your master SKU inventory to hard set all SKUs to use that inventory level.
Enterprise Enhanced Feature:
For our Standard and Pro Packages, inventory updates are only sent to the marketplaces for the actual SKUs on an order. Our Enterprise Starter and Full Enterprise Packages will send inventory updates for all SKUs in a SKU Group any time any SKU in the Group gets updated. This is an Enterprise Only Feature because of the intensive nature of inventory updates for clients with large numbers of SKU Groups.
