Lot Numbers, Serial Numbers, and IMEI Numbers Overview
InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) allows you to associate a lot number, serial number, or IEMI number to any product shipped on an order. The steps below outline how to turn on the settings and how to update a Package added to an order with the appropriate number.
Adding Item Identifiers to Products Shipped on an Order
- Go to the Settings > Base Settings admin page to turn on the Item Identifier settings.

- Set the package_items_identifiers_enabled setting to Yes.
- The package_items_identifiers_types setting controls which type of number you want to record for the orders. This is the list of identifiers that you want to set for items you sell and ship. Valid values are: lot, serial, imei, eid, iccid, other. Separate multiple values with a comma.
- Add Numbers on the Order Detail Page:
After you have created a package, you will see options to add your identifying numbers. Below is an example of the lot number for an order. For Serial Number and IMEI Number, there will be a line item for each individual item ordered.

The number information is auto saved as you enter it as part of the historical order data located in the package information.
