Dynamics 365 Integration FAQs: every sales channel, one ERP of record

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is where many mid-sized operations run finance, inventory, and operations — but connecting it to a growing list of marketplaces usually means stitching together separate connectors from Microsoft AppSource, each with its own cost and quirks. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) sits between Dynamics 365 and 130+ sales channels: marketplace orders push into Business Central as sales orders, shipments made in Dynamics flow back out as tracking, and inventory levels sync to every channel. Below are the questions Dynamics 365 operators ask us most.

Section 1 of 5 · Getting connected

Dynamics 365 Integration & Setup

How InfiPlex connects to your Dynamics 365 account, and what onboarding looks like for an ERP integration.

What is the InfiPlex Microsoft Dynamics 365 integration?

The InfiPlex Dynamics 365 integration connects your Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP to the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System — and through it, to 130+ marketplaces, shopping carts, and retail EDI trading partners. Orders from every connected channel push into Business Central as sales orders, shipments you make in Dynamics 365 flow back out as tracking to each channel, and Dynamics 365 inventory levels sync everywhere in real time.

How do I connect Dynamics 365 to InfiPlex?

Our team configures the connection directly with you and your Dynamics 365 administrator during onboarding — there's no separate AppSource connector to buy per marketplace and no development work on yours. We handle the account link, then map your items, warehouses, and order fields together so data lands in Business Central the way your finance and operations teams expect.

How long does Dynamics 365 setup take?

Your InfiPlex OMS site is provisioned within 1–2 business days of sign-up, and marketplace connections come up in the usual 1–3 day window. The Dynamics 365 side is scoped with you during onboarding — ERP integrations take longer than a marketplace connection because item, warehouse, and workflow mapping deserve care — and our team drives the configuration so your involvement is answering mapping questions, not building anything.

Do I need a Microsoft partner or developer for this?

No — InfiPlex is a no-code integration, and our USA-based team performs the configuration with you. You don't purchase or maintain a separate AppSource connector per marketplace; one InfiPlex connection carries every channel.

Can Business Central remain my system of record?

Yes — that's the standard deployment. Dynamics 365 keeps ownership of items, inventory truth, fulfillment, and financials; InfiPlex acts as the channel layer that moves orders in and inventory out. Your teams keep working in Business Central exactly as they do today, with the marketplaces abstracted behind one integration.

Section 2 of 5 · Order flow

Order Management Between Channels & Dynamics 365

How marketplace orders become Business Central sales orders, and how shipments flow back to each channel.

How do marketplace orders get into Dynamics 365?

InfiPlex pulls orders from your connected channels approximately every 15 minutes (faster if needed) and pushes them into Business Central as sales orders with line items, customer details, and shipping selections mapped to your fields. Your operations team sees marketplace demand inside Dynamics 365 without logging into a single seller portal.

How does tracking get back to each marketplace?

Automatically, regardless of where fulfillment happened. If you ship in Business Central, InfiPlex pulls the shipment and posts tracking to the channel; if you ship in the InfiPlex OMS or through a connected 3PL, the same confirmation flows to both the marketplace and Dynamics 365 so the ERP record stays complete.

What about order cancellations, refunds, and changes?

Order status updates flow through the OMS between the channel and Dynamics 365, and our team maps your specific cancellation and adjustment workflow during onboarding so the ERP reflects what actually happened on the marketplace.

Section 3 of 5 · Stock control

Dynamics 365 Inventory Sync

How Dynamics 365 inventory levels distribute to every channel, including multi-warehouse setups.

How does Dynamics 365 inventory sync to my sales channels?

InfiPlex pulls inventory levels from Business Central and distributes them to every connected channel in real time, so Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, and the rest all reflect what Dynamics 365 says is available. As channel orders arrive, quantities decrement everywhere at once.

How often do inventory levels update?

Continuously — InfiPlex pulls orders roughly every 15 minutes and pushes inventory adjustments back to every channel in real time as they occur.

Section 4 of 5 · ERP strategy

Dynamics 365, ERP Strategy & Growth

Where InfiPlex fits against per-channel AppSource connectors, and how the integration supports scaling.

Why use InfiPlex instead of separate Dynamics 365 AppSource connectors per marketplace?

Per-channel AppSource connectors multiply cost and fragility: each has its own license, its own mapping, and its own support queue, and adding a channel means another procurement cycle. InfiPlex is one connection that carries every channel — adding Walmart or TikTok Shop later is a configuration step, not a new integration project — and Growth packages even include InfiPlex building new marketplace APIs at no additional cost.

How does this compare to InfiPlex's NetSuite integration?

Both work the same way structurally — one OMS connection carrying every sales channel into the ERP as sales orders, with inventory syncing back out. Which one you use depends entirely on which ERP your business already runs; InfiPlex adapts the field mapping to whichever system is your source of truth.

Section 5 of 5 · Plans & costs

Dynamics 365 Integration Pricing & Plans

What the Dynamics 365 connection costs and which InfiPlex package includes it.

Which InfiPlex plan includes the Dynamics 365 integration?

Dynamics 365 and other ERP connections are included with Growth Pro at $999.99/month — which also carries up to 100,000 SKUs, 10,000 included monthly orders ($0.05 per additional order), 4 new marketplace API integrations per year, the Marketplace Repricer, PIM, and the full Amazon channel set. Details are on the Pricing page.

Are there additional costs for the Dynamics 365 connection itself?

The Dynamics 365 integration is part of Growth Pro rather than a per-channel license, and ERP configuration is scoped with you during onboarding so there are no surprises. Where a setup needs a fully separated marketplace configuration, additional Site Areas are $25/month each.

Is Growth Pro worth it just for Dynamics 365?

Operations running Dynamics 365 typically clear Growth Pro's threshold on volume alone, and consolidating several per-channel AppSource connector licenses into one integration usually covers a meaningful share of the cost. Add the EDI savings InfiPlex delivers on retail connections and the package tends to pay for itself.

Is there a long-term contract?

Growth packages carry a 3-month minimum commitment and Partner packages a 12-month term. Given that ERP integrations are meant to run for years, most Dynamics 365 customers care less about the commitment than about the mapping being right — which is why our team configures it with you rather than handing over a toolkit.

How it works

How the InfiPlex Dynamics 365 integration works

The usual Dynamics 365 pattern is a separate AppSource connector per marketplace, each with its own license, mapping, and support relationship. InfiPlex replaces the pile with a single rail: the OMS collects orders from every connected channel, pushes them into Business Central as sales orders, pulls shipment confirmations back out when you fulfill in Dynamics, and distributes Dynamics 365 inventory levels to every marketplace in real time.
