Adding a Page to an InfiPlex website

Pages are added to a website via the purple PAGE application on the InfiPlex dashboard. To add a new page, click on the Page Add tab of the Page dashboard.

Settings Tab

Name: This is the name of the page
Friendly URL: (optional) This is an alternate name that the page can be referred to other than it's path name.
Description: (optional) This is an admin only field for whatever notes you want to add to it - it will not show on the user side of the site.
Default Section Page: typically set to No
Folder: This is the pathname to the page - typically not changed.
Path:  (required) This is the filename of the page - usually a variation or the same as the Name field
Security Groups: (required) Settings that allow/restrict who can see the page on the user side. If nothing is checked the page will only be viewable by an admin person that is logged in.

Is Searchable: indicates whether a page will be returned in the search results of the websites search box.

PC Content Tab

PC Content: This is where you put the content of your page
Load New Layout: When you click this button you will be offered different page layouts (ie, one column, two column, etc.). Once you select a layout, the PC Content window above will be filled with placeholder text that you can replace with your own content.
Template: Click on the blue select a template link. You then choose the name of your Template (in most cases it is the first option) You will then be offered the options customized to your template that you want to apply to this page. Click done when you are done selecting your options.

Navigation Tab

Navigation: The navigation tab is the vehicle for putting a page on a websites menu.  What appears here is dependant on your template options and what you chose for this page. At minimum you should have the option for putting it on the Main menu - if you don't, then you probably did not make the correct choice for navigation  when you clicked on the blue 'select a template' link explained above.

Meta Tags/Title

Meta tags are search engine optimization (SEO) fields. These fields show up in the results of a search engine search. All fields are options but at minimum it would be suggested to put in the page title and the meta description. Where the title is a descriptive title of your page and the description is a sentence or two about the content of the page.
