How To Manage The Shopify Push Inventory Webhook Connection

InfiPlex offers the ability to push marketplace orders into your Shopify store. This is called the Shopify Push connection. With your Shopify store connection set-up in the Push mode, InfiPlex sets up a Shopify inventory webhook so Shopify can push inventory updates back to InfiPlex. This webhook periodically fails on Shopify's side and needs to be recreated. This article outlines how you are alerted to the failure by Shopify and how you can quickly have InfiPlex recreate the Shopify webhhooks.

Re-Creating Shopify Webhooks

If your Shopify webhooks fail, you will be notified via email that your webhooks have failed. At this point you will need to log into your OMS and have InfiPlex Re-create the Shopify webhooks. Below is the basic process:

• Webhook Failure Notification:
  The admin email associated to your Shopify store will receive an email from Shopify with a subject of Your webhook has been removed. If you receive this email, you will need to follow the next steps to recreate your Shopify webhooks.
• How to Re-Create Your Shopify Webhooks:
  • In the InfiPlex admin area, click on the Sell On menu item
  • On the right side of the page, click the purple Re-Create Shopify Webhooks button to have the OMS re-create the webhooks with Shopify
  • This will create a new inventory webhook which will start sending inventory updates again from your Shopify store
  • You can go to Tools > Log and select the Shopify Push Inventory Webhook Setup: Successful filter to confirm that the webhook was successfully added.
  
  
   

Re-Downloading Shopify Inventory

If your Shopify inventory webhook has not been working for a while, you can have InfiPlex download your current Shopify invetnory levels. To do this, simply go to the Sell On page and click the purple Download Shopify Inventory button. This will start the process of the OMS connecting to your Shopify store to pull down inventory levels for all of your SKUs. Note that if you have thousands of products, this can take a long time to get all of your inventory levels updated.
