If the Photo Album application is not listed on the dashboard as an installed application it can be installed by clicking on the green Manage Applications button to the left of the installed applications area of the dashboard. You will need to logout and log back in to see the newly installed application.

Adding an Album

To add a new photo album click on the Add Album tab of the Photo Album app:
Title: (required) Give the album a title
Friendly URL: (optional) Create a friendly URL to easily make reference to this particular photo album.
Description: (optional) The description is text that will appear on the top of this photo album page describing the album.
Album Icon: (optional) This is an image that will be used as a cover image representing the album on the photo_albums.php page that lists all active albums.
Active: If set to no, this album will not appear on the site.
Photos: Use the browse button to upload photos from your computer. You can upload multiple photos by holding down the cntrl key when selecting photos. When doing a mass upload of photos, if you wnat to name the photos and give them captions you will need to edit the album after you save it.
Photo Name: (optional) Name of the photo just uploaded when uploading photos singularly.
Caption: (optional) Caption for the photo just uploaded when uploading photos singularly.
Meta Title: (optional) Meta tag used for SEO (search engine optimization).
Meta Description: (optional) Meta tag used for SEO.
Meta Keywords: (optional) Meta tag used for SEO.
Meta Author: (optional) Meta tag used for SEO.
Additional Meta Tags: (optional) Meta tag used for SEO.
Meta Image: (optional) Meta Image used for SEO.

Editing a photo album

If you mass uploaded photos to an album you may want to add a title or description to individual photos. From the photo album dashboard, click on the green Edit Photos button for the album you want to edit. Click on the blue picture title to edit the title, give it a description or replace the photo.

If you want to sort the order of the photos, click the purple Sort Photos button for the album. You are then able to drag and drop the photos into the order that you prefer.

Deleting a photo album

You can set an album inactive and it won't appear on the site or if you want to actually purge the album from the system you can click the red delete button for that album on the dashboard. There is no reversing the delete of an album.
