The InfiPlex Webstore and Order Management System (OMS) can be connected directly to your Amazon FBA account. This allows the system to identify your FBA SKUs, update your inventory levels, and send external Amazon orders to FBA for delivery.
Amazon FBA Set-up
Amazon FBA integration is located in the Shop > Settings > Amazon Settings area. To pull your FBA SKU and inventory list, make sure the amazon_fba_enabled setting says yes. You will also need to follow the Amazon Payments set-up or the Amazon MWS set-up to get the required keys in order to connect to your account.
Amazon FBA Order Flow
It is important that you understand the order flow when you are using FBA. In most cases, there is nothing you need to do with an order that has FBA SKUs on it. However, some orders could have a combination of FBA and non-FBA SKUs, or FBA may return with a message saying they couldn't ship the SKU for a variety of reasons. In those instances, you must review the order and determine how you are going to manually fulfill the order.
- Amazon.com Order: you do not need to do anything with these orders since they will automatically be fulfilled by FBA.
- Webstore Orders: FBA SKU's are automatically put into a Package within the system and are then sent to FBA for shipping. A note will be added to the order stating that the SKU was sent to FBA for shipment. Amazon's response will also be recorded in a note when that is received. If it is a tracking number, then the tracking number is added to the package and the order is set as Fully Shipped. If you have the auto_send_un_sent_tracking_emails setting set to yes, then the user will automatically receive their Order Has Shipped email. Otherwise you must manually send that. If the system gets an error response from FBA, that information is added to a note and the Package remains un-shipped. You must at that point intervene and manually ship the package yourself from your own stock or go back into your FBA Seller Central area and manually ship the item through Amazon's tools.
- Other Marketplaces like eBay or Groupon Stores: Other marketplaces work the same way the Webstore orders work. Once the orders are pulled into the Webstore or OMS, the FBA process described for Webstore Orders takes over. Once the system receives a tracking number back from FBA, that tracking number will then be sent back to the originating marketplace to finalize the order.
Amazon FBA and UPS WorldShip
The UPS WorldShip option allows you to download your orders into WorldShip for processing and then upload the tracking informaiton back into the Webstore or OMS. The order processes is coded to check and see if the SKU is an FBA SKU and if it comes from Amazon.com.
- Amazon.com Orders: If the order is an Amazon.com order then the system will not create a package for that order. It is assumed that FBA is taking care of that item since it is an FBA SKU. The UPS WorldShip integration requires that the auto_create_package_on_order setting is set to yes so packages are automatically created. This FBA check stops the package from being created. Without the package being created there is no Package for WorldShip to download and process.
- All Other Orders: FBA SKU's are put into their own Package and flagged as an FBA Package. FBA Packages are not included in the WorldShip package download. Please note that if for some reason FBA does not ship that SKU, you will need to manually intervene to ship the item. To ship the item, you can use FBA shipping tools within Seller Central or delete the existing package and recreate it to pull it into WorldShip to ship it yourself.
Removing Amazon FBA
Some marketplaces do not allow you to ship orders using Amazon FBA. If you have to remove your FBA set-up within a SiteArea (SA), please follow these steps to ensure that none of your SKUs are flagged as FBA SKUs.
- If totally removing Amazon from the SiteArea, then first remove the Amazon keys from the Settings > Amazon settings. If you are keeping your Amazon connection but no longer using FBA, then do not delete your Amazon keys and proceed to the next step.
- Next go to Inventory > Amazon FBA and Delete all FBA SKUs using the Red Delete button
- Last, go to the Settings > Amazon settings and turn FBA Off.
