MercadoLibre Set-up

The InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) can be connected directly to your MercadoLibre.com marketplace account. This allows the system to pull your MercadoLibre orders into the OMS and send tracking numbers and inventory updates back to MercadoLibre.

MercadoLibre Set-up

Follow the steps below to sign-up for a MercadoLibre MercadoLibre Cross Border Trade (CBT) Account and connect your account to the OMS:

If you do not have a seller's account yet, you will need to request an account by going to the sign-up form below. MercadoLibre does have several minimum requirements that are listed on the sign-up form.

MercadoLibre Marketplace Sign-up

Important Note: all new products must be uploaded to MercadoLibre using their new product tools available in the ML seller portal.
Once you have your MercadoLibre.com login credentials, you can connect your InfiPlex OMS to your account
- Log into your OMS site and go to OMS > Setting > Base Settings > MercadoLibre
- Update the settings to activate the connection:
  - mercado_libre_pull_orders - Set to Yes
  - Click here to connect to MercadoLibre - this link is under the description for the above setting. Clicking this link will open a pop-up window to MercadoLibre.com where you can then log into the site with your user name and password. Once logged in, you will be asked to confirm and allow the connection of the InfiPlex OMS to your MercadoLibre account. Confirm the connection to activate your account.
  - mercado_libre_send_tracking_numbers - This controls if tracking numbers are sent back to MercadoLibre. Set to yes.
  - mercado_libre_som_enabled - This controls if inventory levels are sent to MercadoLibre on selected SOM (Sell on MercadoLibre) products. Set to yes.
  - mercado_libre_som_pricing_enabled - This controls if pricing is sent to Mercado Libre on selected SOM products.
  - mercado_libre_inventory_set_to_zero - This is the threshold value for setting inventory to zero. Example: If this is set to 5, then any item with inventory less than or equal to 5 will have its inventory set to 0.
  - mercado_libre_sync_fbm_inventory - If mercado_libre_sync_fbm_inventory is set to yes, and a warehouse is selected, then the selected warehouse will have its inventory synced with Mercado Libre FBM products. Note, that only products in the warehouse will be synced. It will not sync any unknown products.
  Save the settings.
After you save the settings, the system will start connecting to MercadoLibre and asking for orders if you have activated them per the settings above.
Checking the Logs:
You can access a log report to view your MercadoLibre connection logs. Go to OMS > Tools > Log and the select MercadoLibre: Any Log in the drop-down. If your API connection is working, you will see a log that says "MercadoLibre Get Orders: Successful".

MercadoLibre Product Set-up

You are responsible to add your own SKUs to the MercadoLibre marketplace. You will also need to make sure the SKUs are available in InfIPlex in order to send inventory updates back to MercadoLibre.

Important Tips:

New accounts are initially limited to one hundred SKUs. If you are reaching that limit, please contact MercadoLibre so they can check your data and increase your limit,
MercadoLibre uses automatic translation technology for translating content. Sellers who are able to provide their own content in the local language (Spanish or Portuguese) see much better results in search and conversion.
Image file URLs need to be direct URLs to the actual image. Do NOT include links to a viewing page that simply includes the image.

Shipping with MercadoLibre

Depending on your set up with MercadoLibre, orders can be shipped by you, the Seller, or by MercadoLibre. Both types of order will get pulled into InfiPlex. Orders that are Fulfilled by the Seller (FBS), will need to be processed by the seller. Orders that are Fulfilled by MercadoLibre (FBM) will be saved into your OMS but are there for sales purposes, but you do not need to do anything with these orders.

Shipped by Seller:
MercadoLibre will create the shipping labels for you. Your MercadoLibre orders will be downloaded to the OMS with a shipping label and packing invoice. You can click on the purple buttons print each one. The Invoice needs to be placed inside the package. Attach the DHL shipping label to the outside of the package and drop it off at any DHL shipping location or call DHL to have them pick it up. Your package will be sent to a MercadoLibre warehouse where it will then be shipped to the buyer.

Orders you need to ship will have a Carrier of DHL. You will be able to easily print the label and order invoice to include in your package.

The order detail page will also list Additional Info saved for the order from Mercado Libre. The Additional Info field mercado_shipment_logistic_type will show "drop_off" as the value for orders that the Seller is shipping.
Shipped by Mercado:
Fulfilled by Mercado (FBM) orders get saved into InfiPlex with a Carrier and method of "MEL Distribution". These orders have already been processed and shipped from the MercadoLibre warehouse. You can create an order filter to make it easy to view orders by Fulfilled by Seller (FBS) or Fulfilled by Mercado (FBM).

The order detail page will also list Additional Info saved for the order from Mercado Libre. The Additional Info field mercado_shipment_logistic_type will show "fulfillment" as the value for orders that are fulfilled by the Mercado Libre warehouse.

Warehouse Setup with MercadoLibre

If you fulfill orders as a Seller and also have SKUs that are Fulfilled by MercadoLibre, you can manage your own warehoue inventory leves in InfiPlex and create a second warehouse that will get updated with inventory levels from the MercadoLibre fulfillment warehouse. You can use the mercado_libre_fbm_warehouse setting above to identify the warehouse you want to use as the MercadoLibre warehouse. This warehouse will get inventory updates from MercadoLibre, giving you real-time insights into your available stock warehoused with MercadoLibre.

MercadoLibre Set-up
