Amazon Vendor Central Integration FAQs: 1P orders, Amazon's compliance bar
Vendor Central is fundamentally different from selling as a third-party seller: Amazon buys your product wholesale and resells it, which means purchase orders, routing guide compliance, and chargeback exposure that don't exist on the Seller Central side. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) connects your Vendor Central relationship so purchase orders pull in automatically, the EDI or API documents Amazon requires go out on time, and your inventory stays synced with every other retailer you supply.
The InfiPlex Vendor Central integration connects your approved Amazon 1P vendor relationship to the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System over EDI or API. Purchase orders pull in automatically, shipments ship from your warehouse or 3PL, and the acknowledgment, ASN, and invoice documents Amazon requires post back — while your inventory stays synced with every other channel you supply.
As a 1P vendor, Amazon buys your product wholesale via purchase orders and resells it under Amazon's own retail pricing and branding. Seller Central, by contrast, is a 3P marketplace where you list and sell your own products directly to consumers. The two are fundamentally different business relationships, and InfiPlex supports both.
Yes, Infiplex integrates with Amazon Vendor Central Direct Fulfillment. Direct Fulfillment orders are individual direct-to-consumer orders that are sold as "from Amazon". Direct Fulfillment orders can quickly and efficiently ship from your InfiPlex OMS App. New orders appear on the Order List page, where you can instantly get a label. InfiPlex also supports pulling Direct Fulfillment shipping labels from Amazon, which is the recommended way to get labels for Amazon Vendor Central Direct Fulfillment orders.
If you have a 3rd Party UPS account from Amazon Vendor Central, InfiPlex can also be set up to use 3rd party shipping accounts for Vendor Central Direct Fulfillment.
Amazon Vendor Central Direct Fulfillment Integration:
Yes, InfiPlex integrates with Amazon Vendor Central Retail/Warehouse orders. Vendor Central Retail POs are bulk orders that are shipped to Amazon warehouses.
Amazon Vendor Central Retail POs go through a specific process to first approve the requested SKUs and quantities. InfiPlex has an automated process that can be configured to confirm individual SKUs on a PO request from Amazon. This automation can save significant time managing your Amazon Vendor Central Retail orders. You can review more at our Amazon Vendor Central Retail Overview page.
Yes — Vendor Central access requires an invitation or approval from an Amazon vendor manager; it isn't a self-serve signup like Seller Central. InfiPlex connects that relationship once you're approved and Amazon has issued your onboarding requirements.
Connection with your Vendor Central account is done through our Amazon Authorized SP-API InfiPlex OMS App. The main administrator account approves the InfiPlex OMS app in a few clicks, and your account is ready to start the onboarding process. Our USA-based team will work with you during onboarding, ensuring that your SKUs are configured in InfiPlex to start managing Vendor Central orders.
Your OMS site is provisioned within 1–2 business days. Once your OMS site is ready for configuration, you can quickly connect to your Amazon Vendor Central account through our Amazon Approved SP-API InfiPlex OMS App. Our USA-based team will then help configure your SKUs in your InfiPlex OMS site to start managing orders.

1P Order Management & Compliance
How Vendor Central orders move into InfiPlex, and how the OMS protects your vendor standing.
InfiPlex pulls purchase orders from Amazon approximately every 20 minutes, landing in the same queue as your other retailer and marketplace orders, ready to route to a warehouse, or 3PL, or ship out of InfiPlex.
Regular stock orders replenish Amazon's fulfillment centers in bulk; DI/DF (direct-to-consumer, sometimes called drop-ship or Direct Fulfillment) orders ship individual units directly to Amazon customers, similar to a marketplace order but under the vendor relationship. InfiPlex integrates with both types of orders — Retail Bulk and Direct Fulfillment.
Yes — once an order ships, InfiPlex generates and transmits the required ASN to finalize the order at Amazon. For Direct Fulfillment orders, InfiPlex has an the option to configure invoicing for orders. Invoicing for Direct Fulfillment orders is done in conjuction with an ERP system like NetSuite, which allows the association of the NetSuite invoice on the Amazon Direct Fulfillment orders. This saves significant time reconciling payments from Amazon.
InfiPlex automates exactly the mechanics Amazon's vendor chargeback program scrutinizes — on-time document transmission, accurate ASNs matching what actually shipped, and inventory that reflects real availability — which is where manual processes most often break down under volume.
Yes — the OMS can be configured to route Vendor Central orders to a connected 3PL or warehouse. InfiPlex can already connect with many WMS systems, and we can connect with yours if it is not already on our WMS integrations list. InfiPlex can also integrate with multiple 3PL clients and warehouses, to route orders based on the locations established in your Vendor Central account.

Inventory Sync & Availability
How InfiPlex keeps your Vendor Central commitments accurate against every other channel.
InfiPlex maintains one master inventory pool, and every sale on any channel — Vendor Central, another retailer, or your own webstore — updates available quantities everywhere in real time, which is what prevents committing stock to a purchase order you can't actually ship.
InfiPlex also has other inventory controls that allow you to define which sales channel you want to sell out on. This helps eliminate overselling on any sales channel. If you have issues with overselling, InfiPlex can solve those issues and save you time and money.
Yes — where your vendor agreement calls for proactive inventory availability updates, InfiPlex's real-time inventory pool feeds that document automatically through our SP-API InfiPlex OMS App.
Yes — per-channel buffers can be configured to ensure that you have stock for Vendor Central Direct Fulfillment orders, which matters given how strictly Amazon's chargeback program penalizes fill-rate misses.
Use the built-in Inventory Tool for direct edits, the Inventory Upload tool for spreadsheet-based changes, scheduled FTP feeds, or automated pulls from supplier systems. One update propagates to Amazon and every other connected channel.
In most scenarios, InfiPlex receives direct inventory feeds from WMS or ERP systems. Our USA-based team will ensure that everything is configured to keep your inventory updated in real-time.
Yes — the OMS tracks stock across multiple warehouses and 3PLs and routes orders to the right source, which matters when Amazon's routing guide specifies particular fulfillment center assignments.
Section 4 of 5 · Three Amazon relationships
Vendor Central vs. Seller Central vs. Amazon Business
Amazon offers several distinct selling relationships — make sure this hub is the one you need.
Vendor Central is a 1P wholesale relationship (Amazon buys and resells your product). Seller Central is a 3P marketplace (you list and sell directly to consumers, covered in the main Amazon integration hub). Amazon Business is a set of B2B features layered onto a Seller Central account. All three are distinct, and some suppliers run more than one simultaneously.
Yes — some brands sell wholesale to Amazon as a 1P vendor for certain products while also running a Seller Central account for others. InfiPlex connects both relationships independently, and can share the same inventory pool based on how the integrations are configured.
Vendor Central access is typically by invitation from an Amazon vendor manager or through Amazon's vendor application process; it isn't a self-serve signup like opening a Seller Central account. InfiPlex doesn't manage this approval process — once you're in, we connect the Vendor Central account via our InfiPlex OMS SP-API APP.
Amazon has shifted more of its own preference toward Seller Central for many categories in recent years, and some brands have transitioned from Vendor Central to Seller Central as a result; the right relationship for a given supplier depends on category, negotiating position, and margin considerations specific to your business.
Amazon's vendor terms, EDI/API specifications, and routing requirements can change over time; our team updates your configuration whenever Amazon issues new requirements, as part of ongoing InfiPlex support for EDI/API trading partners.

Growth packages carry a 3-month minimum commitment and Partner packages a 12-month term; Basic Starter is month-to-month. Schedule a demo and we'll scope the right plan against your Vendor Central relationship and overall channel mix.
InfiPlex focuses on the operational side that prevents chargebacks in the first place — timely, accurate documents and honest inventory; disputing a chargeback that's already been issued is handled directly with Amazon through Vendor Central.
Yes — InfiPlex connects both relationship types, so if you're moving some or all products from Vendor Central to Seller Central, InfiPlex can support the transition without dropping order or inventory continuity.
Connect the rest of your stack
Pair Vendor Central with the systems you already run
InfiPlex connects Vendor Central with 130+ marketplaces, carts, shipping platforms, 3PLs, WMS, and ERP systems — and our Growth Packages include building new API integrations you need at no additional cost.
Vendor Central purchase orders come with Amazon's routing guide, ASN accuracy requirements, and a chargeback program that penalizes missed windows or mislabeled shipments — a different discipline than running Seller Central listings. InfiPlex pulls Vendor Central purchase orders into the same queue as your other retailers, generates the acknowledgment and ASN documents on Amazon's required timing, and keeps your inventory synced so you never commit stock you can't ship.
The InfiPlex Vendor Central sync rail: 1P purchase orders flow into the OMS, ship to Amazon fulfillment centers from your warehouse or 3PL, and return the acknowledgment, ASN, and invoice documents Amazon's vendor program requires — while inventory stays reconciled across every retailer you supply.
