eBay Integration FAQs: run eBay alongside every other channel
The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) connects to your eBay seller account so orders pull in automatically, tracking numbers post back the moment you buy labels, and the quantities your eBay listings show stay accurate across every channel you sell on. Below are the questions eBay sellers ask us most — about connecting an account, protecting seller metrics, syncing multi-quantity listings, and growing from eBay-only into a true multichannel operation.
The InfiPlex eBay integration is a direct API connection between your eBay seller account and the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. It automatically pulls your eBay orders into the OMS, sends tracking numbers back to eBay as soon as you purchase labels, and updates the quantity on each listing as units sell on eBay or any other connected channel. The result is one workflow for eBay, Amazon, Walmart, your webstore, and 130+ other integrations.
After you sign up for an InfiPlex package, our team provisions your OMS site and walks you through authorizing InfiPlex from your eBay seller account — a standard secure authorization done by logging into eBay, with no passwords shared and no code involved. Once authorized, InfiPlex begins pulling orders and syncing inventory, and our team helps map your SKUs during onboarding.
Most eBay sellers are live in 1–3 business days. The OMS site is provisioned within 1–2 business days of sign-up, the eBay authorization itself takes minutes, and SKU mapping plus shipping configuration are handled with our USA-based support team as part of included onboarding.
No. InfiPlex is a no-code solution — the eBay connection is an in-browser authorization, and there is no software to install, no server to maintain, and no IT project. If you later need something custom, like pulling inventory from an unusual source, InfiPlex's own programmers handle that for you.
Yes. Sellers operating multiple eBay accounts can connect each one to InfiPlex, and each account's orders flow into the same OMS alongside your other channels. Note that some marketplace setups that must be isolated in their own environment carry a $25/month Site Area fee — our team will tell you up front if your configuration needs it.
No — your listings stay exactly as they are. InfiPlex works with your live catalog: it maps your eBay SKUs to the OMS, then manages orders, tracking, and quantities against those existing listings. You keep managing listing content, titles, and pricing in Seller Hub the way you always have.
Your production keys are created and resent from your eBay Developer Account. Keys are unique identifiers that tell eBay which developer and application is making a call. You can generate and retrieve your keys at any time from your My Account page. This is the same page that you will go to when you need to reset your eBay Auth'n'Auth token. eBay Auth'n'Auth Tokens last 18 months and require you to generate a new one every 18 months. You can reference the eBay Setup page for instructions on accessing your account and resetting the Auth'n'Auth Token.

Order Management & Shipping
How eBay orders flow through InfiPlex, how tracking gets back to eBay, and how fulfillment options fit in.
InfiPlex automatically pulls your open eBay orders into the OMS about every 15 minutes, and faster syncs can be configured for high-velocity operations. Orders arrive ready to fulfill — items, quantities, service level, buyer details — and can be processed in the OMS, your warehouse or shipping application, or your ERP without any manual export from Seller Hub.
The moment you purchase a shipping label, InfiPlex uploads the tracking number to eBay automatically. Fast, valid tracking is a core input to eBay's seller standards and Top Rated status, so automating it protects the metrics that determine your search placement and fee discounts. The same shipment data flows to any other connected system, like your accounting platform.
InfiPlex includes shipping tools supporting 100+ carriers worldwide — UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS with Commercial Plus pricing through the integrated EasyPost connection. You can compare rates, automate carrier and service selection, and batch-print labels. Prefer an outside tool? InfiPlex also connects to ShipStation, ShipWorks, and other shipping platforms.
Yes. eBay orders can route automatically across your own warehouses or to a connected 3PL/WMS partner — ShipHero, Extensiv, Logiwa, Deposco, and many more in the integrations directory — or through the InfiPlex 3PL Connector program. Ship confirmations return through InfiPlex to eBay automatically, keeping buyers and metrics equally satisfied.
International orders pull into the OMS like any other, and the 100+ carrier library covers international services when you're shipping the full journey yourself. If you use eBay's own international programs — where eBay takes over the export leg after you ship domestically — you simply ship the domestic segment through InfiPlex and eBay handles the rest, with tracking flowing back as usual.
All three channels draw from one inventory pool in InfiPlex, and each order — wherever it lands — immediately updates the quantities the other channels display. That's what prevents the classic multichannel oversell where two marketplaces sell your last unit within minutes of each other. One queue, one pool, no collisions.
Part of the InfiPlex configuration is defining user access for each warehouse. Below are the different roles currently availabe for set-up.
Main Admin - Full Access:
Main Admin accounts will have full access to view and manage orders and inventory levels for all warehouses.
Warehouse Admin - Warehouse Only Access:
Warehouse Admin accounts will have access to view and manage orders for their specific warehouse only. If needed, a Warehouse Admin can also be given access to manually update inventory levels.

Inventory Sync & Listing Quantities
Keeping eBay listing quantities honest across channels, buffers, and multi-warehouse stock.
InfiPlex updates each SKU's quantity on eBay as orders are placed on eBay or any other connected channel, so listings always reflect true availability. Manual updates are available through the Inventory Tool and Inventory Upload, FTP feeds can bring in supplier or warehouse quantities on a schedule, and custom programming can pull inventory from anywhere else you need. Whatever feeds the OMS is what eBay displays.
Yes. Per-channel buffers let you hold back a safety quantity on eBay — for example, listing 47 available when 50 are on the shelf — protecting you against oversells during fast sell-downs or when several channels share thin stock. Buffers are set per channel, so you can cushion eBay differently than Amazon or your webstore.
Yes. InfiPlex syncs at the SKU level, which is exactly how eBay's multi-quantity and variation listings track stock — each variation maps to its SKU in the OMS, and quantities update per variation as units sell anywhere. Your listing structure in Seller Hub doesn't change; the numbers inside it just become trustworthy.
InfiPlex supports multiple warehouses on every package and rolls availability up across locations, so eBay sees your true network-wide available-to-sell figure. Orders then route to the right location by your rules, and each location's ship confirmations flow back through the OMS to eBay.
Yes. Scheduled FTP inventory feeds, spreadsheet uploads, and custom-programmed pulls can all bring external quantities into InfiPlex — useful for dropship arrangements or stock held by a partner. Once in the OMS, those quantities sync to eBay and every other channel like any warehouse stock.
Section 4 of 5 · Growth
Growing on eBay — and Beyond It
Why eBay still earns a place in a growth stack, and how InfiPlex turns an eBay store into a multichannel brand.
Yes — eBay remains one of the largest marketplaces in the world, with well over 100 million active buyers and roughly $70+ billion in annual gross merchandise volume, and it's especially strong in categories like parts & accessories, refurbished goods, collectibles, and value-driven shopping. For many sellers it delivers steady, profitable volume with less fee pressure than newer channels. The smart play isn't eBay or the others — it's eBay plus the others, run from one system.
eBay's standards reward on-time shipping and valid, promptly-uploaded tracking — and demote sellers who miss. InfiPlex automates both: orders surface within minutes, labels are purchased in batches, and tracking posts the instant a label is bought. Sellers coming off manual workflows usually see their late-shipment and missing-tracking numbers drop simply because the process can no longer forget a step.
Connect eBay to InfiPlex first, then add channels one at a time against the same inventory pool — Amazon and Walmart are the usual next steps, followed by a Shopify storefront for brand ownership. Each new channel costs no additional per-channel fee in InfiPlex, and because inventory and orders are already centralized, each launch is configuration, not reinvention.
Yes. InfiPlex connects eBay volume through to NetSuite (Growth Pro and above), QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics, and other back-office systems, so eBay orders, shipments, and inventory land in your books without re-keying. That's usually the step that turns a large eBay store into an operationally mature business.
Growth packages include InfiPlex building new API-based integrations at no additional cost — 2 per year on Growth Starter, 4 on Growth Pro. Tell us the sales channel or system you need and we add it to our programming queue; that's how the integration catalog got past 130 connections in the first place.
The default API Call Limit for a developer account is 5,000 calls per day. This applies to individuals and smaller businesses starting with the eBay Developers Program. This includes calls for getting orders, sending inventory, and sending pricing. You can log into your eBay developer portal to get reports on the Trading API to see your usage. Clients with larger SKU counts on eBay will need to apply for a rate increase in order to manage inventory levels.
If you need more calls per day, you can apply for a rate increase using eBay's Compatible Application Check form. You can review the eBay Rate Limit Increase Request article for instructions on filling out the form.
Section 5 of 5 · Plans & fit
Pricing & Platform Fit
What the eBay integration costs, which package fits, and what InfiPlex replaces.
The eBay connection is included in every InfiPlex package with no separate app fee. Basic Starter is $49.99/month for up to 2,000 SKUs with orders at $0.50 each; Growth Starter is $499.99/month with 1,000 orders included ($0.10 after); Growth Pro is $999.99/month with 10,000 orders included ($0.05 after). Growth tiers add the Marketplace Repricer, API access, and free new-integration development.
Sellers doing up to a few hundred orders a month usually start on Basic Starter at $49.99/month, where costs scale with sales. Past roughly 1,000 monthly orders, Growth Starter's included-order block typically wins on per-order math, and high-volume or ERP-connected sellers fit Growth Pro. Schedule a free consultation and we'll size it against your actual numbers.
Manual eBay operations mean exporting orders, buying labels in a separate tool, pasting tracking back into Seller Hub, and editing quantities listing by listing — across every channel you add. InfiPlex collapses that into automatic order pull, integrated rate-shopped shipping, instant tracking upload, and channel-wide inventory sync, with a USA-based team a phone call away at 888-770-0857.
Basic Starter is month-to-month friendly, Growth packages carry a 3-month commitment, and partner programs like the 3PL Client Connector run 12 months — full terms are on the pricing page. If your setup requires an isolated Site Area (an additional $25/month), our team flags it before you commit.

How it works
How the InfiPlex eBay integration works
eBay rewards sellers who ship fast and never oversell — and punishes the opposite through seller standards and search placement. InfiPlex automates exactly those two things: every new eBay order flows into the OMS within minutes, ships through your carriers, warehouse, or 3PL, and confirms tracking back to eBay instantly, while channel-wide inventory sync keeps the quantity on every listing honest as you sell across marketplaces.
The InfiPlex eBay sync rail: eBay orders flow into the OMS, which routes fulfillment to your warehouses, 3PLs, or ERP and returns tracking numbers and real-time listing quantities to eBay and every other connected channel.
