File Library System
Images for website content pages is managed by the File Library application found on the main Infiplex dashboard. If the purple File Libary button is not found on the dashboard, it can also be found through the admin wrench in the upper right hand corner. Images need to be uploaded to the File Library system before they can be used on the website content pages.
Images used in the Shop, Photo Albums, Business Directory and Slider tools are not managed by the File Library application but by the respective application.
The file library is/can be organized into folders. New folders can be added through the Folders option on the blue toolbar, then choosing Folder Add. Once the folder is created, images may be uploaded to it via the Files option on the Files toolbar by selecting the File Add tab.
Uploading Images
On the File Add tab the Choose Files button will browse to your computer to pick up the image you want to upload. You can select multiple images to all be uploaded to the same file by holding down the shift or cntl keys while making your selection. Use the folder dropdown to select which folder you want your selected images to reside.
Tags and Description are administrative fields and will not appear on the user side of your website.
Read Security and Write Security are the options that dictates which Security Groups can view the file. In most all cases, images should have a Read Security of Main - Everyone and Write Security of Main - Admin.
Write file to server should be allowed to default to Yes for images. If the file is a pdf that should be secured and only viewable by a select group, you would choose the Read Security that is appropriate for that Security Group. The Write Security should be set to Main - Admin and the file should not be written to the server. If the file is not written to the webserver, it will reside in the website database and a user's security groups will be checked before allowing access to the file.
Replacing Images
If you want to update an image that exists in the file library, (i.e. update the site with a new logo). Select the image you want to replace by clicking on it's name (blue bar) in the file list. Use the Choose File option to browse to your computer to find the replacement image. Do not change the Folder dropdown and select Save. This will update all pages that use that image with the image just uploaded. You may need to refresh your browser or clear it's cache in order to see the updated image.
