How long does it take to go live with InfiPlex?

Most InfiPlex accounts go live in days, not months. Launching in 1–3 business days is pretty standard. For our existing integrations — Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, TikTok Shop, eBay, Wayfair, Temu, and 130+ other channels — the connection itself typically completes the same day the channel admin authorizes it. From there, most accounts are fully live (orders flowing, tracking pushing back, inventory syncing) within the first week or two, with catalog size and channel count being the main variables.

Typical go-live timelines:

Marketplaces & stores
Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, TikTok Shop + 130 more
Days
ERP connections
NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Dynamics
About 1–3 weeks
EDI retail programs
Costco, Lowe's, Target DVS + 20 more
About 2–4 weeks

The main timeline drivers: how quickly your channel admins authorize connections, catalog size, and — for EDI — the retailer's own certification schedule.

You don't have to stop selling during setup, and nothing is pushed to your live marketplaces until you've verified your data and flipped the final switch. If you tell us your channels, we'll give you an exact go-live estimate — contact us or schedule a call. Support is included with all of our packages.

Before You Begin: What to Have Ready

Setup goes fastest when you gather these items first:

  • Admin access to each sales channel you want to connect (Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central, Walmart, Shopify, TikTok Shop, eBay, Wayfair, Temu, your EDI retail programs, etc.). Channel connections are authorized by an account admin — if that person is outside your company, InfiPlex can provide an external authorization link so they can approve the connection without logging into your OMS.
  • Your SKU list, including how each SKU is identified on each channel (marketplace SKUs sometimes differ from your internal SKUs — that's fine, InfiPlex maps them).
  • Your warehouse and fulfillment picture: which locations hold stock (your warehouse, FBA, a 3PL, drop-ship vendors) and which location should fulfill which channels.
  • Your shipping setup: carrier accounts and/or shipping platform (ShipStation, EasyPost, Amazon Shipping, ShipWorks).
  • Your ERP details, if applicable (NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics), and a decision on which system is the source of truth for inventory.

The Setup Sequence (What Happens During Those Days)

Follow the steps in order. The sequence is designed so that nothing is pushed out to a live marketplace until you have verified your data inside InfiPlex.

  1. Step 1 — Log into your OMS and set up your team.
Log into your InfiPlex OMS site with the credentials provided during onboarding. Add the teammates who will manage orders, inventory, and shipping, and assign roles and security groups so each user sees only what they need.

  2. Step 2 — Connect your first sales channel.
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and select your channel. Each channel has a connect/authorize link that opens the marketplace's own approval flow (note: the authorization window may open behind your current browser window). We recommend starting with your highest-volume channel — or, if you run an ERP like NetSuite, connecting the ERP first so your source of truth is in place. Channel-specific walkthroughs are in the Knowledge Base, including TikTok Shop, Amazon Seller multi-location, Wayfair, and NetSuite. Don't see your channel? Contact us — new integrations are built for you at no extra cost on Growth plans.

  3. Step 3 — Load and map your SKUs.
Bring your SKUs into InfiPlex and flag where each one is sold. Use the Sold-On settings to control which SKUs send inventory to which marketplace — see Set SKUs as Sold On a Marketplace from the Sold-On Page. If a channel uses different SKU codes than your internal catalog, map them now; unmatched SKUs on incoming orders are surfaced so you can resolve them.

  4. Step 4 — Set up warehouses and inventory rules.
Define each stock location (your warehouse, FBA, 3PL) and set your protective rules before any quantities go out:

    • Inventory buffers hold back a safety quantity per channel.
    • Set-to-zero thresholds push a zero quantity to a marketplace once stock falls to or below your threshold (for example, a threshold of 5 sends 0 to the channel when 5 or fewer remain).

These two settings are your main defense against overselling — see Inventory Set-up to Eliminate Overselling for recommended configurations.

  5. Step 5 — Turn on order flow.
In each channel's integration settings, enable the channel and turn on order pull. Orders from every connected channel land in one queue, where your routing rules send them to the right warehouse, drop-shipper, 3PL, or shipping batch automatically.

  6. Step 6 — Configure shipping and tracking.
Connect your shipping platform or carriers (ShipStation, EasyPost, Amazon Shipping, ShipWorks) and enable tracking push-back so confirmation numbers flow to each marketplace as soon as labels are created. If you ship in batches, set up your batch criteria — see Managing Shipping With The Batch Pick List.

  7. Step 7 — Verify, then enable inventory send.
Enabling inventory send is deliberately the last switch you flip, because it changes live quantities on your marketplaces. First confirm that the quantities InfiPlex holds for each SKU and warehouse are correct, that buffers and thresholds are set, and that Sold-On flags point each SKU at the right channels. Then enable inventory send per channel. This is your go-live moment.

Go-Live Day Checklist

  • All target channels show as connected and enabled under Settings > Integrations.
  • A recent test order (or the day's first live order) pulled into the queue, routed to the correct location, produced a label, and pushed tracking back to the channel.
  • SKU quantities in InfiPlex match a spot-check of physical/3PL counts.
  • Buffers and set-to-zero thresholds are set on every live channel.
  • Inventory send is enabled, and a spot-check of a few listings on each marketplace shows the expected available quantity.
  • Your team knows where to watch for unmatched SKUs or held orders.

Your First Week

Plan to spot-check daily for the first week: confirm quantities on a handful of listings per channel, confirm tracking is posting back within your channels' SLA windows, and clear any unmatched-SKU alerts. Most accounts find inventory is fully self-correcting across channels within the first few days, after which monitoring drops to exception handling only.

Setup & Go-Live Questions

How long does it take to go live with InfiPlex?
Days for existing integrations — most accounts are fully live within the first week or two of kickoff. ERP connections typically take about 1–3 weeks, EDI retail programs about 2–4 weeks (driven by the retailer's certification schedule), and brand-new channel builds are quoted up front. See the timeline table at the top of this page.

Do I have to stop selling while I set up?
No. Channel connections, SKU mapping, and inventory verification all happen without changing anything on your live marketplaces. Nothing outbound happens until you enable tracking and inventory send.

Will InfiPlex overwrite my marketplace quantities as soon as I connect?
No. Inventory send is off by default and controlled per channel and per SKU (via the Sold-On flags). Quantities only change on a marketplace after you verify your counts and enable inventory send in Step 7.

What happens to orders that are already open when I connect a channel?
In general, open, unshipped orders are pulled into your queue when order pull is enabled — for example, the TikTok Shop connection pulls only orders awaiting shipment. Behavior can vary slightly by channel, so if you have a large backlog of open orders at cutover, tell our team and we'll confirm exactly what will be pulled for each of your channels.

My SKUs don't match across channels — is that a problem?
No. Different SKU codes per channel are normal, and InfiPlex maps marketplace SKUs to your internal SKUs. Any order line that arrives with an unrecognized SKU is flagged so you can map it once; from then on it flows automatically.

In what order should I flip the switches?
Connect the channel → map SKUs and set Sold-On flags → set buffers and set-to-zero thresholds → enable order pull → enable tracking push-back → verify quantities → enable inventory send last.

How do I prevent overselling from day one?
Set an inventory buffer and a set-to-zero threshold on every channel before enabling inventory send. See Inventory Set-up to Eliminate Overselling.

Which channel should I connect first?
Your highest-volume marketplace, unless you run an ERP such as NetSuite — in that case connect the ERP first so your source of truth is established before marketplaces come online.

What does a good pre-go-live test look like?
One order, end to end: it pulls into the queue, routes to the correct warehouse or 3PL, produces a label, and the tracking number appears back on the marketplace. Pair that with a spot-check that a known inventory change in InfiPlex is reflected on each connected channel.

Who do I contact if I get stuck?
Contact us any time — support is included with all of our packages, and our support and programming teams are US-based.
