Every InfiPlex user record is either an admin user, with access to the administrative side of the site, or a non-admin user, typically a customer with a storefront login. This covers the admin side: the two admin types and how access is controlled.
Root Admin vs Non-Root Admin
A root admin has the highest level of access, including rights most admins never need: creating site areas, creating other root admins, creating security groups, and the rest of the Admin Tools reached through the wrench icon in the top right of the dashboard.

A non-root admin has whatever access their assigned security groups grant, nothing more. Keep the number of root admins small; one is the usual recommendation.
Adding or Editing an Admin User
Open the purple User button on the main dashboard. Adding or editing a user gives you the option to mark them root or non-root.
Assigning Security Groups
On the Security tab of the User Edit screen, check the security groups the user belongs to. A root admin has full access regardless of group membership; a non-root admin sees only what their groups permit. See Security Groups Overview for how groups themselves are created and applied.
Non-Admin Accounts
Anyone who creates a storefront login, makes a purchase, registers for an event, or otherwise interacts with the public side of the site gets a user record too, automatically flagged non-admin.
