Cin7 Integration FAQs: fill the gaps, or switch entirely

Cin7 handles inventory management well — but InfiPlex connects to significantly more marketplaces, carts, 3PLs, and shipping systems than Cin7 does natively. Most sellers run both together: InfiPlex pushes marketplace orders into Cin7 and can sync inventory with it as your system of record, while reaching channels Cin7 doesn't connect to on its own. Some sellers switch to InfiPlex entirely instead. Below are the questions Cin7 users ask us most.

Section 1 of 5 · The complementary fit

Cin7 & InfiPlex: How They Fit Together

Why clients run InfiPlex alongside Cin7 rather than picking one or the other — and when they don't.

What is the InfiPlex Cin7 integration?

The InfiPlex Cin7 integration pulls orders from every marketplace InfiPlex connects and pushes them into Cin7 automatically. You pack and ship from within InfiPlex, and tracking updates flow back to both the marketplace and Cin7. Inventory can also sync with Cin7 as your system of record.

Why would I use InfiPlex if I already have Cin7?

Clients tell us it comes down to connections: InfiPlex connects to significantly more marketplaces, carts, 3PLs, and shipping systems than Cin7 does natively. Adding InfiPlex extends your reach without requiring you to drop Cin7 for the inventory management it already handles well.

Do I need to stop using Cin7 to connect InfiPlex?

No — InfiPlex is built to sync alongside Cin7, not replace it, if that's what fits your operation. That said, some sellers do prefer to consolidate onto InfiPlex alone — see the switching section below if that's more your situation.

How does InfiPlex sync with Cin7?

Over API. InfiPlex pushes marketplace orders into Cin7, and inventory can sync between the two automatically, so updates on either side stay reflected without manual re-entry.

Section 4 of 5 · Going all-in on InfiPlex

Switching to InfiPlex from Cin7

For sellers who'd rather consolidate onto one system instead of running InfiPlex alongside Cin7.

Can InfiPlex fully replace Cin7 instead of just filling gaps?

Yes — InfiPlex handles multichannel order and inventory management on its own, so some sellers migrate off Cin7 entirely rather than running two systems. Whether that's the better fit usually comes down to your specific channel mix and workflow.

How long does migrating from Cin7 to InfiPlex take?

Connecting your sales channels to InfiPlex generally follows the standard 1–3 business day onboarding window per channel; the overall migration timeline depends on how many channels, warehouses, and historical records you're bringing over, which our team scopes with you directly.

Will I lose my order history moving from Cin7?

InfiPlex's onboarding focuses on getting live orders and current inventory flowing correctly; historical order data migration is scoped case by case during setup — discuss your specific reporting needs with our team before migrating.

How it works

How the InfiPlex Cin7 integration works

InfiPlex pulls orders from every connected marketplace and pushes them into Cin7 automatically. You pack and ship from within InfiPlex, and InfiPlex sends fulfillment and tracking information back to both the marketplace and Cin7. Inventory can also sync with Cin7 as your system of record, so stock levels stay accurate across every channel InfiPlex connects — including the ones Cin7 doesn't reach natively. If you'd rather consolidate onto one system entirely, InfiPlex can also replace Cin7 outright.
