Faire Custom Shipping Settings

Last Updated: Sep 21, 2026

InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) sends a shipping cost to Faire for every shipped order. By default that is the actual label cost. The Faire custom shipping settings let you send a percentage of the order value instead, or mark up the label cost by rule, with an optional handling fee on top.

Where the Settings Are

Log into your InfiPlex OMS site and go to Settings > Integrations > Faire.

Choose a Method

  • Actual label cost: leave faire_send_custom_shipping_costs set to No. InfiPlex sends the label cost plus faire_shipping_handling_fee if set.
  • Percentage of order value: set faire_send_custom_shipping_costs to Yes, fill in faire_custom_shipping_costs_percentage and faire_custom_shipping_costs_minimum, and leave the advanced rules blank.
  • Label cost multipliers: set faire_send_custom_shipping_costs to Yes, fill in faire_custom_shipping_costs_advanced_rules, and leave percentage and minimum blank. Advanced rules take priority over percentage and minimum when both are present.

The Settings

  • faire_send_custom_shipping_costs: Yes enables every custom setting below. No sends the actual label cost.
  • faire_custom_shipping_costs_percentage: percentage of the package's item total sent as shipping. Whole numbers: 15 means 15 percent, not 0.15.
  • faire_custom_shipping_costs_minimum: if the percentage result is below this value, this value is sent instead.
  • faire_shipping_handling_fee: added to the shipping cost after the percentage, minimum, or advanced rules are applied.
  • faire_custom_shipping_costs_advanced_rules: JSON rules that multiply the label cost by a factor based on the label cost range. Use multipliers of 1.x; a multiplier below 1 sends less than the label cost. The last rule should carry a very large label_max so every label cost is covered. In the example, 1.3 is a 30 percent markup on labels under 10 dollars, 1.2 on 10 to 19.99, and 1.1 above that.

Copy the rules into the setting, adjust the ranges and multipliers, and save the Faire settings. After any change, confirm the next few orders show the expected shipping cost in Faire; a missing bracket or comma stops the rules from applying. Open a support ticket if a rule set does not behave as expected.
