Faire Integration FAQs: add wholesale without a second system

Faire is the leading online wholesale marketplace, connecting brands with independent boutiques and retailers — and paying brands upfront while taking on the risk of returns and defaults itself. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) connects your Faire account so wholesale orders flow into the same system as your retail channels, sharing one inventory pool and one shipping workflow. Below are the questions brands ask us most about running Faire through InfiPlex.

Section 1 of 5 · Getting connected

Faire Integration & Setup

How the InfiPlex Faire connection is arranged, and how quickly wholesale can be flowing through your OMS.

What is the InfiPlex Faire integration?

The InfiPlex Faire integration is a direct API connection between your Faire brand account and the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. Wholesale orders from Faire pull into the OMS automatically, ship through your carriers or 3PL with tracking confirmed back to Faire, and — critically — draw from the same inventory pool as your retail channels, so wholesale and retail never oversell each other.

How do I connect my Faire account to InfiPlex?

Setup is quick and simple, and unusually hands-off for you: contact InfiPlex to request your Faire API token, and InfiPlex will work directly with Faire to make the connection on your behalf. There's nothing to install and no developer needed — our team coordinates the token, completes the link, and maps your SKUs during onboarding.

How long does Faire setup take with InfiPlex?

Most brands are live in 1–3 business days. Your OMS site is provisioned within 1–2 business days of sign-up, and because InfiPlex arranges the API token directly with Faire, the connection typically completes within the onboarding window without you chasing credentials.

Do I need separate software to handle wholesale orders?

No — that's the point of running Faire through InfiPlex. Wholesale orders land in the same queue as retail orders, use the same shipping tools, and reconcile against the same inventory, so there's no second system to buy, learn, or keep in sync. Your team runs one workflow whether the box holds one unit or twelve cases.

Section 2 of 5 · Wholesale orders

Order Management & Wholesale Shipping

How Faire orders flow through InfiPlex and how wholesale shipping differs from retail.

How do Faire orders get into InfiPlex?

InfiPlex pulls your open Faire wholesale orders into the OMS automatically about every 15 minutes, with faster syncs available if needed. Orders arrive with the retailer's items, quantities, and shipping details, ready to fulfill from the OMS, your shipping application, or a connected 3PL — no exporting from the Faire portal.

How does tracking get back to Faire and the retailer?

The moment you purchase a shipping label, InfiPlex sends the tracking number back to Faire automatically, which updates the retailer on their order status. Reliable shipping confirmation matters doubly in wholesale — the buyer is a store planning shelf space around your delivery — and automating it keeps every retailer relationship on schedule.

Which carriers can I use for Faire orders?

InfiPlex includes shipping tools supporting 100+ carriers — UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS with Commercial Plus pricing via the integrated EasyPost connection — with rate comparison and batch label printing built in. Wholesale cartons often favor UPS/FedEx ground services, and rate-shopping across carriers per shipment is exactly what keeps those costs sane.

How are wholesale orders different to fulfill than retail orders?

They're larger and lumpier — case packs, multiple line items, occasionally freight-weight cartons — and each one represents a retailer relationship rather than a single consumer. InfiPlex handles both profiles in one queue: batch retail orders ship fast, while wholesale orders carry their full line-item detail through picking, packing, and tracking. Multi-warehouse routing works the same for both.

Can Faire orders route to my 3PL or ERP?

Yes. Faire orders can flow automatically to connected 3PL/WMS partners — ShipHero, Extensiv, Logiwa, and more in the directory — or through your ERP, with NetSuite-class connections on Growth Pro. Ship confirmations return to Faire through InfiPlex either way.

Section 3 of 5 · Inventory control

Shared Retail + Wholesale Inventory

One inventory pool across Faire and every retail channel — the core reason to integrate.

How does inventory sync work between Faire and my retail channels?

Faire draws from the same InfiPlex inventory pool as your retail channels: when a boutique orders 24 units on Faire, your Shopify, Etsy, and Amazon quantities update immediately, and vice versa. InfiPlex makes sure your Faire products always show the most current level for each SKU — which is what makes selling the same stock wholesale and retail simultaneously safe.

Why is shared inventory such a big deal for wholesale?

Because wholesale orders are large enough to silently gut retail stock — one case-pack order can consume a SKU's entire retail cushion, and if channels aren't synced, your website sells units a boutique already bought. With one pool and real-time sync, a Faire order instantly reprices availability everywhere, so growth in one channel can't create cancellations in another.

Can I reserve stock for wholesale (or protect retail) with buffers?

Yes. Per-channel buffers let you shape how the shared pool is exposed — hold back a cushion on retail channels so a big Faire order can always fill, or cap what Faire sees so retail velocity is protected during your peak season. Buffers are set per channel and adjustable anytime as your mix shifts.

Can inventory come from FTP feeds, uploads, or an external system?

Yes. Beyond automatic sync, InfiPlex supports manual adjustments via the Inventory Tool, bulk changes via Inventory Upload, scheduled FTP inventory feeds, and custom programming to pull quantities from anywhere they live. Whatever feeds the OMS becomes the availability Faire and every retail channel display.

Does InfiPlex support multiple warehouses for Faire fulfillment?

Yes — multiple warehouses are supported on every package. Availability rolls up network-wide, wholesale orders route to the location best suited to case-pack fulfillment by your rules, and each location's ship confirmations flow back to Faire through the OMS.

Section 4 of 5 · B2B growth

Growing Wholesale Revenue with Faire

Why Faire is the lowest-risk door into wholesale, and where InfiPlex takes B2B from there.

Why is Faire considered the best first wholesale channel for a brand?

Because Faire removed wholesale's two classic risks: it pays brands upfront rather than on net terms you have to chase, and it fully takes on the risk of returns and defaults from retailers. Combined with a marketplace of independent boutiques and retailers around the world actively sourcing new products, a brand can test wholesale with essentially retail-grade cash flow — something traditional wholesale never offered.

How does wholesale on Faire complement my retail channels?

Wholesale adds a revenue layer that behaves differently from retail: orders are bigger and steadier, boutiques reorder on rhythm, and every store carrying your line is standing distribution and marketing in a market you haven't reached. Retail spikes; wholesale compounds. Running both from one InfiPlex pool means the compounding never destabilizes the spiking.

What kinds of brands do well adding Faire?

Makers and product brands whose goods suit independent retail — home goods, gifts, apparel and accessories, food and beverage, stationery, beauty — and who can fulfill case-pack orders reliably. If you're already succeeding on Etsy or your own Shopify store, Faire is usually the most natural next channel, and InfiPlex makes the operational side identical to what you already run.

What comes after Faire as my wholesale grows?

Two natural steps, both already in InfiPlex. First, a branded B2B eCommerce Portal — your own wholesale ordering site for the retailer relationships you develop directly. Second, big-box retail via EDI connections to major retailers, where InfiPlex's direct-EDI savings will typically pay for your package. Faire proves the wholesale demand; InfiPlex scales the machinery.

Section 5 of 5 · Plans & fit

Pricing & Platform Fit

What the Faire integration costs and which package fits a retail + wholesale operation.

How much does the InfiPlex Faire integration cost?

Faire is included in every InfiPlex package with no separate app fee. Basic Starter is $49.99/month for up to 2,000 SKUs with orders at $0.50 each; Growth Starter is $499.99/month with 1,000 orders included ($0.10 after); Growth Pro is $999.99/month with 10,000 orders included ($0.05 after) plus ERP connections and the PIM.

How do wholesale orders count toward my InfiPlex order volume?

Each Faire order counts as one order regardless of size — a 200-unit case-pack order is a single order at your tier's rate. That makes wholesale unusually efficient on InfiPlex's per-order pricing: significant revenue arrives in relatively few orders, which is one more way B2B improves the economics of the whole operation.

Which package fits a brand adding Faire?

Brands testing wholesale usually stay on their current tier — Faire adds revenue faster than it adds order count — while operations combining serious retail volume with wholesale typically fit Growth Starter or, with ERP needs, Growth Pro. Book a free consultation and we'll size it against your combined retail-plus-wholesale numbers.

Is there a contract for the Faire integration?

Growth packages carry a 3-month commitment; partner programs like the 3PL Client Connector run 12 months. Full terms live on the pricing page, and if any setup requires an isolated Site Area (an additional $25/month), our team flags it before you commit.

How it works

How the InfiPlex Faire integration works

Wholesale usually arrives as a second business bolted onto the first: separate orders, separate stock counts, separate shipping. InfiPlex removes the seam — Faire wholesale orders pull into the same OMS as your Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy retail orders, draw down the same inventory pool, and ship through the same 100+ carrier tools, so adding B2B revenue doesn't mean adding operational headcount.
