The second store problem
Shopify does not sync inventory between two stores on its own. The moment a second storefront goes live, every sale on either store has to be reflected on the other before the next shopper sees the count. Most sellers handle that with a spreadsheet, a nightly manual update, or a lightweight sync app that only understands one warehouse.
The failure mode is the same every time: the wholesale store sells the last six units, the retail store still shows six in stock, and both orders ship until one of them cannot. It gets worse when the stores ship from different places, because a total count across both warehouses tells the retail store nothing about what its own warehouse actually has. InfiPlex tracks inventory per warehouse, publishes each store the count for the warehouse it ships from, and adjusts every connected store as orders import from any of them.
Each store keeps its identity
Each store is its own connection with its own orders, checkout, and customers. InfiPlex is the inventory layer underneath all of them.
Every Shopify store connects to InfiPlex as its own Custom App. There is no limit on how many, and each one is a normal InfiPlex Shopify connection.
Point each store at the InfiPlex warehouse it ships from. Two stores can share one warehouse, keep separate warehouses, or share some SKUs and not others.
As orders import from any store, InfiPlex reduces the warehouse count and pushes the new available quantity to every store that publishes from that warehouse.
Set a per-channel buffer to hold units back on a store, and let tracking from your warehouse or 3PL flow back to whichever store the order came from.
Same warehouse or different ones
The right setup depends on where each store actually ships from. InfiPlex supports all three, per SKU if needed.

In every case, InfiPlex holds inventory per warehouse and per SKU, so a store never sees a count that includes stock it cannot ship. Per-channel buffers let you hold back a few units on a store where oversells are costly, and the combination of per-warehouse counts and buffers is what stops oversells across stores. Who runs more than one store
These are the setups InfiPlex sees most often. Each one is a normal Shopify connection in the OMS.
A consumer storefront and a password-protected wholesale store selling the same stock at different prices. InfiPlex keeps both accurate against the same warehouse, and can also run a dedicated B2B ordering portal if you want wholesale off Shopify entirely.
Separate storefronts per country or region, each shipping from its own warehouse or 3PL. Each store publishes its own warehouse's count, and orders route to the right fulfillment partner.
A full-price site and a clearance site with overlapping products. Shared SKUs stay accurate on both, and a buffer on the brand site protects full-price availability.

Part of the same system
This is the InfiPlex Shopify integration connected more than once, not a separate product. Everything that applies to one store applies to each of them.
If your stores ship from different Locations, the Shopify Location Router decides which warehouse each fulfillment order goes to. If one of those Locations is a 3PL, InfiPlex connects to the 3PL's system through integrations such as Extensiv and ShipHero, and the count that 3PL reports back is the count your store publishes. Unlimited connections are included on every plan, from Basic Starter up, so a second or third store never adds a connection fee.
Common questions
What sellers ask before connecting a second store.
No. Each store maps to whichever InfiPlex warehouse it ships from. Two stores can share one warehouse and receive the same count, keep completely separate warehouses so a sale on one never affects the other, or mix the two so shared SKUs come from a shared warehouse and local SKUs from a local one. InfiPlex holds inventory per warehouse in every case.
Automatically, as orders import and as your warehouse or 3PL reports counts back. Orders pull from each Shopify store on a regular schedule, about every 15 minutes, and each import adjusts the warehouse count and pushes the new available quantity to every store publishing from that warehouse. Per-channel buffers cover the gap between imports on stores where an oversell would be costly.
As many as you run. Every InfiPlex plan, including Basic Starter, includes unlimited connections to any available integration, and each Shopify store is one connection. There is no per-store fee. The plan limits that do apply are SKU count and monthly orders, which are listed by plan on the Pricing page.
Yes. Pricing lives in each Shopify store. InfiPlex syncs inventory, orders, and tracking between the stores and the warehouse; it does not force the stores to share a price. A retail store and a wholesale store can carry the same SKU at different prices, and both stay accurate against the same warehouse count.

Second, per-channel buffers hold a set number of units back on any store you choose, covering the window between one store's sale and the next import on the other. Yes. A marketplace is one more connection to the same warehouse. Once two Shopify stores share an InfiPlex warehouse, connecting Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, or eBay to that warehouse is the same step, and marketplace orders pull into whichever store you designate.
