AutoZone Integration SKU Set-up

Last Updated: Aug 07, 2026

AutoZone requires one extra piece of data on every SKU you sell through the channel — its AutoZone item number — before inventory will sync correctly. This guide covers getting your AutoZone EDI connection ready, what that SKU data looks like, and how to add or update it in InfiPlex.

  • Just One Extra FieldAutoZone only requires the autozone_item_num field beyond your standard SKU data
  • Bulk CSV UploadAdd or update AutoZone item numbers for many SKUs at once via the SKU Utilities tool
  • 7- or 9-Digit Item NumbersAutoZone item numbers are always numeric, matching the format in your AutoZone product data file

Before You Begin

Get Your AutoZone EDI Connection Ready

SKU data only matters once orders and inventory are actually flowing, so this guide assumes your AutoZone EDI connection is already set up. If you're just getting started, see our AutoZone Integration Set-up guide first.

Testing Required for New Connections

InfiPlex can connect to your existing AutoZone vendor drop-ship account, but AutoZone requires a testing process before the EDI connection goes live. Contact us to begin testing.

SKU Requirements

What AutoZone Requires for Each SKU

AutoZone's inventory integration needs one additional field on every SKU you sell through the channel: its AutoZone item number (autozone_item_num). Without it, inventory won't pass to AutoZone correctly.

Setup Process

Adding and Updating Your AutoZone SKU Data

Three steps to get your SKUs loaded and tagged with AutoZone item numbers.

  • STEP 1

    Load Your SKUs into InfiPlex

Make sure every SKU you sell through AutoZone already exists in InfiPlex. See OMS Product Upload if you need to add them.

  • STEP 2

Turn On Auto-Create for New SKUs

This is required to keep tracking files sending correctly as new SKUs come through on AutoZone or any other marketplace order. See Automatically Create New SKUs from Marketplace Orders.

  • STEP 3

Add AutoZone Item Numbers via CSV

Upload a CSV with sku and autozone_item_num columns using the SKU Utilities Tool's Set Identifying Data section.

AutoZone Item Number Format

AutoZone item numbers are always numeric, 7 or 9 digits long (for example, 1072256) — you'll find them in the product data file AutoZone sends you.

Uploading and Reviewing Your Data

The Set Identifying Data section also handles other identifiers like ASIN, GTIN, UPC, ISBN, and barcodes — for AutoZone, just use sku and autozone_item_num as your column names. Keep a master CSV file so future updates are just a re-upload, and review what's on file for any SKU under Tools > SKU Data.
