Magento Integration FAQs: enterprise complexity, one clean order queue
Magento and Adobe Commerce power some of the most complex catalogs in eCommerce — multi-store, multi-website, B2B pricing tiers — and that complexity deserves an order and inventory layer built to match. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) connects your Magento or Adobe Commerce instance so orders, inventory, tracking, and pricing all sync both ways: push and pull, with Magento as your source of truth or as just another connected cart, configurable per store. Because Magento's setup options run deeper than most single-direction cart integrations, this hub goes deeper too — below are the 51 questions Magento merchants ask us most.
The InfiPlex Magento integration is a direct API connection between your Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce instance and the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. Orders, inventory, tracking, and pricing sync in whichever direction your setup calls for, and shipments route through your warehouse or 3PL with tracking posted back to Magento.
Our USA-based team configures the connection with you during onboarding using your store's API credentials — there's nothing to install and no in-house developer required, though your Magento agency or dev team is welcome to be involved if you have one.
Most merchants are live within the standard 1–3 business day window, though complex multi-website Magento instances with custom attribute sets, or setups mixing sync directions across stores, can take a bit longer to map fully — our team scopes the timeline with you once we see your catalog and store structure.
Yes — InfiPlex connects to both the free Magento Open Source edition and the paid Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) edition, including Adobe Commerce Cloud hosting.
Yes — Magento's multi-website and multi-store-view architecture is common among merchants who need InfiPlex most, and each website or store view connects as its own channel, with its own sync direction if needed, drawing on the same master inventory pool.
Section 2 of 9 · Push, pull, or both
Two-Way Order Sync: Push, Pull, or Both
The mechanics of syncing orders with Magento in either direction, and how to decide which fits.
Yes — InfiPlex can push and pull orders with Magento. Some merchants have InfiPlex pull orders from Magento the same way it does from a marketplace; others push orders into Magento, treating it more like a destination system. Which direction fits depends on how you use Magento in your overall stack.
Pushing fits merchants who manage order fulfillment primarily from the OMS and want Magento to reflect order status for reporting or customer-service purposes. Pulling fits merchants who already run their order workflow inside Magento and want InfiPlex to pick up from there. Neither is more "correct" — it's a question of where your team's daily workflow actually lives.
Sync direction is configured per store specifically to avoid this: if Magento is set to push orders out, Magento is the authority on order status for that store; if InfiPlex is pulling, InfiPlex treats its own status as authoritative. Our team sets the direction deliberately during onboarding so there isn't a standing conflict to resolve.
Line items, customer details, and shipping selections carry over consistently either direction. Some Magento-specific fields (like customer group or negotiated B2B pricing) are mapped during onboarding so they arrive intact regardless of sync direction.
Yes — sync direction is configurable per store, not all-or-nothing. A merchant with three Magento store views can run one as source of truth (pull) and the other two as connected carts (push), depending on how each is actually used.
Cancellations and refunds sync in the same direction configured for that store, so whichever system is authoritative for order status reflects the change, and inventory reconciles accordingly on both sides.
Section 3 of 9 · Order flow
Orders, Shipping & Fulfillment
How Magento orders move to fulfillment and back with tracking, once sync direction is set.
When pulling, InfiPlex retrieves new orders from Magento approximately every 15 minutes — faster if needed — with line items, customer details, and shipping selections intact, landing in the same queue as every other connected channel.
Yes — print labels across 100+ carriers, including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS with Commercial Plus pricing, directly from the OMS. Tracking posts back to the Magento order automatically, in whichever direction your store is configured.
Yes — the OMS routes Magento orders to a connected 3PL or WMS (ShipStation, ShipHero, Extensiv, and more via the 3PL Connector) based on rules you set, with tracking and inventory reconciled automatically.
That's the core of the product: Magento joins the same order queue as Amazon, Walmart, and 130+ other integrations, so your team processes everything from one screen instead of Magento's admin panel plus every marketplace's seller portal.
Magento B2B orders flow into InfiPlex the same way retail orders do, and our team maps purchase-order numbers and account-specific details during onboarding so wholesale orders reconcile correctly against inventory and your books.
Section 4 of 9 · Source of truth
Two-Way Inventory Sync & Source of Truth
How to decide whether Magento or InfiPlex is your inventory source of truth, and what changes either way.
Yes — some merchants use Magento as their inventory source of truth, and InfiPlex pulls from it to keep every other channel in sync. Others treat Magento as just another cart and have InfiPlex push inventory updates to it instead, the same as it would to a marketplace. Both push and pull are supported for inventory.
Pulling means InfiPlex reads current stock levels from Magento and treats that number as accurate, propagating it to every other connected channel. Pushing means InfiPlex calculates available quantity itself (based on sales across all channels) and writes that number into Magento, the same way it would update a marketplace listing.
If your team already manages stock counts, receiving, and adjustments inside Magento, pulling from it as source of truth avoids duplicating that work. If your team manages inventory centrally through the OMS across many channels, pushing to Magento keeps it consistent with everywhere else. Our team can walk through your current workflow to help decide.
Yes — this is common for merchants with regional or brand-specific store views that operate somewhat independently. One store can be configured as source of truth while another is treated as a standard connected cart.
Because one system is designated authoritative per store during setup, a disagreement resolves in favor of whichever system is the configured source of truth for that store, and the sync corrects the other side on the next update cycle. Our support team can also investigate a specific discrepancy if one seems persistent.
No — sync direction is a per-store setting, so changing it for one Magento store doesn't require touching how other stores or other channels are configured.
Yes — if your workflow changes, our team can reconfigure a store's sync direction. We'll typically walk through current stock accuracy on both sides first to make sure the switch doesn't introduce a discrepancy.
Section 5 of 9 · Stock control
Inventory, Multi-Store & Catalog Sync
The day-to-day mechanics of keeping Magento inventory accurate once sync direction is set.
InfiPlex maintains one master inventory pool, and every sale on any channel — any Magento store view, a marketplace, or a wholesale order — updates available quantities everywhere in real time, which is what prevents overselling, regardless of which direction a given store syncs.
Yes — per-channel buffers let you hold back a safety quantity on any Magento store or marketplace, set independently per channel and independent of sync direction.
Use the built-in Inventory Tool for direct edits, the Inventory Upload tool for spreadsheet-based changes, scheduled FTP feeds, or automated pulls from supplier systems. One update propagates to Magento and every other connected channel.
With the optional Product Information Management (PIM) system on Growth Pro, InfiPlex can automate product data flows across your Magento stores and marketplaces.
Each Magento store and stock source is treated as its own unique entity, including when InfiPlex pushes orders to Magento — rather than collapsing everything into one generic destination, InfiPlex respects the specific store and stock structure you've already set up in Magento.
Yes — onboarding maps your specific hierarchy so orders and inventory land against the correct website, store, and store view rather than being flattened into a single generic Magento connection.
InfiPlex's own multi-warehouse inventory model works alongside Magento's source and stock configuration under MSI, treating each source and stock as its own unique entity — the same precision applied to stores extends to individual stock sources.
Yes — that's a common Magento configuration, and InfiPlex's per-store, per-stock precision is built to handle exactly this: shared product data with independently tracked stock per store.
Whichever store and stock source the order actually belongs to — this mapping is configured during onboarding so pushed orders land correctly rather than defaulting to a single catalog-wide destination.
Section 7 of 9 · Pricing from Magento
Pricing Sync from Magento
How InfiPlex can use Magento's own pricing as the source of truth for your marketplaces.
Yes — InfiPlex can pull pricing directly from Magento and use it as the source of truth for pricing across the marketplaces InfiPlex connects, so you manage pricing in one place rather than updating it separately on every channel.
Our team maps which Magento price field feeds marketplace pricing during onboarding, based on how you use base and special pricing in your own catalog — this is configured to your setup rather than assumed.
Pricing pulls on the same real-time cadence as inventory, so a price change in Magento reflects across connected marketplaces without a separate manual export.
Yes — pricing sync from Magento can be scoped to specific channels, so you can keep manual or rule-based pricing on marketplaces where that fits better while pulling from Magento elsewhere.
If a channel is configured to pull pricing from Magento, the next sync cycle will reflect Magento's price again; if you want a standing manual override, that channel should be excluded from Magento-sourced pricing for that SKU.
Standard catalog pricing is what typically feeds marketplace pricing; tier and customer-group pricing generally stay specific to Magento's own B2B checkout logic rather than being pulled out to public marketplaces, since those prices aren't meant to be publicly visible. Talk to our team about your specific pricing structure if this is central to your setup.
Section 8 of 9 · Scaling up
Magento B2B & Enterprise Growth
How InfiPlex supports Magento and Adobe Commerce merchants as they scale.
Magento's strength is catalog and storefront flexibility, not multichannel order routing or real-time inventory reconciliation across marketplaces — InfiPlex takes on exactly that layer, so your Magento team can keep focusing on the storefront experience.
Yes — InfiPlex integrates with NetSuite (included with Growth Pro) and QuickBooks Online, so Magento orders and revenue flow into your system of record without re-keying.
Most Magento merchants add Amazon and Walmart Marketplace first, both sharing the same inventory pool as the Magento store, and often pulling Magento-sourced pricing.
Yes — InfiPlex handles retail EDI connections like Target, Costco, and Home Depot through the same hub as your Magento store, often with significant EDI VAN cost savings.
InfiPlex connects through Magento's supported APIs to push and pull orders, inventory, tracking, and pricing, depending on your setup; our team confirms the specific API version and any custom module considerations during onboarding for your instance.
Order data — including which customer group and pricing tier applied — flows into InfiPlex along with the rest of the order, so wholesale and tiered-pricing orders reconcile correctly against inventory even though that pricing logic itself stays in Magento.
Section 9 of 9 · Plans & costs
Magento Integration Pricing & Plans
What connecting Magento to InfiPlex costs, and which plan fits.
Magento connects on every InfiPlex plan. Basic Starter is $49.99/month with up to 2,000 SKUs at $0.50 per order; Growth Starter is $499.99/month with 10,000 SKUs and 1,000 orders included ($0.10 per additional order); Growth Pro is $999.99/month with 100,000 SKUs and 10,000 orders included ($0.05 per additional order). Full details are on the Pricing page.
No — sync direction and pricing pull are configuration choices within the standard Magento connection, included on every plan, not separate paid add-ons.
Enterprise-scale Adobe Commerce catalogs and order volumes typically fit Growth Pro, which adds ERP connections like NetSuite, the automated PIM system, and a higher included order allowance. Smaller Magento Open Source merchants often start on Basic Starter or Growth Starter.
Each connected website or store view is a standard channel connection included in your plan, regardless of which sync direction it uses; a fully separated marketplace configuration adds a $25/month Site Area if your setup calls for it.
Growth packages carry a 3-month minimum commitment and Partner packages a 12-month term; Basic Starter is month-to-month. Schedule a demo and we'll scope the right plan against your catalog and volume.

NetSuiteERP connectivity for enterprise Magento merchants
Magento's multi-website architecture is a strength for merchants running several storefronts or regional variants off one platform — but it also means inventory and order logic get complex fast, especially once marketplaces are added on top. InfiPlex treats each Magento website, store view, and stock source as its own distinct entity, and syncs orders, inventory, tracking, and pricing in whichever direction your setup calls for: some merchants run Magento as their source of truth and have InfiPlex pull from it; others treat Magento as just another cart and let InfiPlex push to it, the same as any other channel. Many merchants mix both models across different stores. The sections below cover each part of this in depth, since Magento's setup options run deeper than a typical single-direction cart integration.
The InfiPlex Magento sync rail: orders, inventory, and tracking move in whichever direction your setup calls for — Magento as source of truth, or as just another cart — while every store and stock source stays distinct and reconciles across every channel in one pool.
