CastleGate Integration FAQs: forward-positioned speed, one inventory pool
CastleGate is Wayfair's own fulfillment network: you position inventory forward, Wayfair ships it, and delivery speed helps win the sale — in exchange for storage and fulfillment under Wayfair's program terms. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) models CastleGate as a location in your operation: qualifying orders route there automatically, tracking flows back, and stock reconciles inside the same master pool as your own warehouses, 3PLs, and Wayfair dropship POs. Below are the questions CastleGate suppliers ask us most.
CastleGate is Wayfair's own fulfillment network: suppliers send inventory into CastleGate facilities, and Wayfair ships customer orders from that forward-positioned stock. The point is delivery speed — faster promises on product pages tend to win the sale in home goods — in exchange for storage and fulfillment under Wayfair's program terms.
The InfiPlex CastleGate integration connects your CastleGate participation to the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System: qualifying orders route to CastleGate for fulfillment, shipment confirmations and stock levels flow back, and CastleGate inventory reconciles inside your master pool alongside your own warehouses and 3PLs. In short, it makes Wayfair's network behave like one more location in your operation.
Yes — CastleGate enrollment, storage terms, and fees are arranged directly with Wayfair as part of your supplier relationship. Once your program participation is active, InfiPlex connects it during onboarding; program specifics are Wayfair's to set, and the OMS works with whatever your agreement covers.
Setup is quick and simple: our USA-based team links the connection through your Wayfair supplier account during onboarding, models CastleGate as a fulfillment location in your OMS, and configures the routing rules with you. There's nothing to install and no developer needed.
Once your CastleGate enrollment is active with Wayfair, the InfiPlex side typically completes within the standard 1–3 business day onboarding window — your OMS site is provisioned in 1–2 business days and the location modeling and routing rules follow quickly after.
InfiPlex configuration includes granular permissions per team member, not just a single fixed role. Each user can be given Full Access, or scoped access configured separately for Orders and Inventory. Order-side permissions cover access to order tools (all or limited), the order list (scoped to all warehouses or specific ones you choose, including a CastleGate location), returns, order creation, and invoices. Inventory-side permissions cover access to inventory tools (all or limited) and the inventory list, similarly scoped by warehouse. A user can be granted access to multiple specific warehouses at once, not just one.
You set the rules — by SKU, by stock location, or by channel — and InfiPlex routes qualifying orders to CastleGate for fulfillment automatically. Everything else follows your normal paths: your own warehouse, a 3PL, or dropship shipment against a Wayfair PO.
Yes — shipment confirmations from CastleGate fulfillment flow back through InfiPlex, so the originating channel gets its tracking and your OMS record stays complete. You keep one operational picture even though Wayfair's network did the shipping.
Yes — that's the standard pattern: fast movers forward-positioned in CastleGate for delivery speed, the long tail fulfilled from your own dock or a connected 3PL. Routing rules decide per order, and every location draws down the same master pool.
The OMS keeps routing orders to CastleGate while stock lasts there, then falls over to your other locations by rule instead of failing orders. Because inventory reconciles in real time across locations, a spike drains your pool visibly rather than surprising you channel by channel.
Wayfair does — outbound carrier selection and delivery for CastleGate-fulfilled orders happen inside Wayfair's network under the program's terms. Your carrier decisions in InfiPlex apply to everything you ship yourself: dropship POs, other marketplaces, and your webstore, across 100+ supported carriers.

Omnichannel Fulfillment Eligibility
What it actually means that Wayfair positions CastleGate as an omnichannel offering.
Wayfair positions CastleGate as an omnichannel fulfillment offering, and where your program terms support it, InfiPlex can route orders from your other connected channels to CastleGate the same way it routes them to any 3PL. Channel eligibility and terms are set by Wayfair, so confirm your program's current coverage — the OMS routing is ready either way.
That's a question for your Wayfair account team, since eligibility and terms for omnichannel fulfillment are set by Wayfair's CastleGate program, not by InfiPlex. Once you know what your program covers, our team configures the InfiPlex routing to match.
The same way any order reaches any fulfillment location in InfiPlex: routing rules you configure — by SKU, channel, or stock location — would direct qualifying orders from a connected marketplace to CastleGate, with tracking and inventory reconciling back through the OMS exactly as it does for Wayfair orders.
No — regardless of which channels CastleGate fulfills for under your program, its stock reconciles inside the same master inventory pool as every other location you run, the same way it already does for Wayfair-only fulfillment.
Wayfair for program terms, fees, and eligibility — that's their program to set. InfiPlex for how the routing, inventory reconciliation, and tracking sync work once you know what your program covers. We're glad to help you figure out which question is which if you're not sure.

CastleGate Inventory & Inbound
How forward-positioned stock stays visible and reconciled with the rest of your operation.
Yes — InfiPlex multi-channel inventory sync includes managing inventory levels for all your SKUs. InfiPlex integrates directly with CastleGate to receive your available inventory levels from CastleGate and update all of your sales channels with available inventory from CastleGate. The InfiPlex multi-channel inventory sync sends real-time updates to all connected sales channels. The InfiPlex real-time inventory sync helps prevent overselling on Wayfair and all of your connected marketplaces. CastleGate is modeled as a location in your OMS alongside your own warehouses and 3PLs, so what Wayfair holds and what you hold always reconcile in one view. The InfiPlex Support Team will help you configure your SKU set-up to work with your Wayfair account.
Yes — exactly that. InfiPlex supports multiple warehouse locations, and CastleGate slots in as one of them, with its own quantities, its own routing rules, and its own place in your reporting.
Inbound scheduling and receiving follow Wayfair's CastleGate program process, and InfiPlex gives you the operational picture around it: what's committed to CastleGate, what's still in your building, and how the pool shifts as receipts land. Our team configures the inbound workflow visibility with you during onboarding.
Yes — the InfiPlex Inventory Tool lets you set Safety Stock per SKU regardless of which location fulfills, so you can hold back a cushion on any channel while CastleGate handles the shipping.
Safety Stock, Reorder Point, and location routing are independent levers, which is what makes mixed strategies manageable.
Because CastleGate quantities live in your master pool, you watch them the same way you watch any location — low-stock visibility across locations is exactly the problem the OMS exists to solve. Replenishment cadence itself is your call under Wayfair's program terms; InfiPlex makes sure the numbers you're deciding from are current.
InfiPlex gives you accurate, real-time sales velocity and stock visibility across every channel, which is the data you'd use to make that call — but the commitment decision itself, and any CastleGate-specific planning tools, run through Wayfair's own program. Think of InfiPlex as making sure the numbers behind that decision are trustworthy.

CastleGate Strategy & Growth
When CastleGate earns its keep, and how it fits alongside FBA, WFS, and your own network.
Delivery speed sells on Wayfair — faster promises on the product page convert better, especially for furniture where shipping anxiety is real. CastleGate buys that speed for your best sellers; dropship keeps the long tail capital-light. InfiPlex is what lets you run both without splitting your inventory truth.
A 3PL is channel-agnostic and fully under your carrier control; CastleGate is optimized for Wayfair's marketplace and delivery promise, with terms set by Wayfair. Most suppliers treat it as a portfolio question rather than either/or — and since InfiPlex models both as locations with rules-based routing, you can rebalance between them as the data comes in.
Yes — each network is modeled as a fulfillment location in InfiPlex, so FBA serves Amazon, WFS serves Walmart, CastleGate serves Wayfair, and your own warehouse or 3PL covers the rest. One master pool reconciles all of it, which is the only sane way to run three fulfillment networks at once.
Usually not on day one — the common path is launching dropship (no inventory commitment), letting sales data reveal the fast movers, then forward-positioning those winners in CastleGate. The Wayfair FAQ hub covers the dropship side; InfiPlex supports the graduation without re-platforming anything.
CastleGate-fulfilled orders put delivery execution in Wayfair's hands, which generally supports the speed metrics the marketplace rewards — while your dropship POs still ride on your own tracking speed and stock accuracy, both of which InfiPlex automates. The combined effect is a steadier operational record across your whole Wayfair catalog.
Yes — the 3PL Connector program gives each client their own Site Area with their own channel and location mix, CastleGate included where the client participates. It's a clean way to offer Wayfair-optimized fulfillment strategy as a service.
Section 6 of 6 · Plans & costs
CastleGate Integration Pricing & Plans
What the InfiPlex side costs — and what stays between you and Wayfair.
CastleGate connects as a standard integration on every InfiPlex plan: Basic Starter at $49.99/month (up to 2,000 SKUs, $0.50 per order), Growth Starter at $499.99/month (10,000 SKUs, 1,000 orders included, $0.10 after), and Growth Pro at $999.99/month (100,000 SKUs, 10,000 orders included, $0.05 after). Full details are on the Pricing page.
No — CastleGate storage and fulfillment fees are set and billed by Wayfair under your program agreement. InfiPlex charges only your plan and per-order pricing; the integration itself carries no separate fee.
It depends more on your total order volume and SKU count across all channels than on CastleGate specifically — schedule a demo and we'll scope the right plan against your full operation.
Growth packages carry a 3-month minimum commitment and Partner packages a 12-month term; Basic Starter is month-to-month. Schedule a demo and we'll scope the right plan against your channel mix.
No — routing rules that direct other channels' orders to CastleGate, where your program supports it, are part of the standard integration, not a separate line item.

How the InfiPlex Wayfair CastleGate integration works
CastleGate enrollment, storage terms, and fees are arranged directly with Wayfair. Once active, InfiPlex models CastleGate as a fulfillment location in your OMS: orders that qualify by your routing rules go to CastleGate, shipment confirmations and stock levels flow back automatically, and everything reconciles inside your master inventory pool alongside your own warehouses, 3PLs, and Wayfair dropship POs. Outbound carrier selection for CastleGate-fulfilled orders happens inside Wayfair's network; your own carrier setup in InfiPlex governs everything you ship yourself.
The InfiPlex CastleGate sync rail: CastleGate is modeled as a fulfillment location, with qualifying orders routed there automatically and stock reconciled against your own warehouses, 3PLs, and dropship POs in one pool.
