Wayfair Integration FAQs: dropship at scale, metrics intact
Wayfair runs on a dropship supplier model: Wayfair sells the sofa, sends you a purchase order, and you ship at your agreed wholesale cost — which makes fast tracking and honest availability the whole game. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) connects your Wayfair supplier account so POs pull in automatically, tracking posts back fast, freight and oversized shipments route like any other order, and your Wayfair inventory feed matches the same pool every other channel draws from. Below are the questions Wayfair suppliers ask us most.
The InfiPlex Wayfair integration is a direct connection between your Wayfair supplier account and the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. Wayfair purchase orders pull into the OMS automatically, ship from your warehouse or 3PL with tracking confirmed back to Wayfair, and your Wayfair inventory feed draws from the same real-time pool as every other channel you sell on.
Wayfair runs a dropship supplier model: Wayfair owns the customer relationship and the retail price, sends you a purchase order for each sale, and you ship the item at your agreed wholesale cost. That makes fast tracking and accurate availability the whole game — which is exactly the part InfiPlex automates.
Setup is quick and simple: after sign-up, our USA-based team provisions your OMS site within 1–2 business days and works with you to link your Wayfair supplier account credentials. There's nothing to install and no developer needed — we complete the connection, map your SKUs, and configure your shipping and inventory feeds during onboarding.
Most suppliers are live in 1–3 business days. The connection itself is fast; the onboarding window goes to SKU mapping and confirming your inventory feed settings so the first purchase orders route cleanly.
Start at Wayfair's partner site, where home goods brands apply to become suppliers. Because the model is dropship, you don't send inventory anywhere to launch — once your account is approved and your catalog is set up, InfiPlex connects it and Wayfair POs join your normal workflow.
Dropship means you ship each Wayfair order from your own warehouse or 3PL against a PO; CastleGate is Wayfair's own fulfillment network, where you position inventory forward and Wayfair ships it. InfiPlex integrates both — see the CastleGate FAQ hub — and many suppliers run a mix, with fast movers in CastleGate and the long tail on dropship.
InfiPlex configuration includes granular permissions per team member, not just a single fixed role. Each user can be given Full Access, or scoped access configured separately for Orders and Inventory. Order-side permissions cover access to order tools (all or limited), the order list (scoped to all warehouses or specific ones you choose), returns, order creation, and invoices. Inventory-side permissions cover access to inventory tools (all or limited) and the inventory list, similarly scoped by warehouse. A user can be granted access to multiple specific warehouses at once, not just one.
See the Warehouse User Roles page for the full walkthrough of setting these up for your Wayfair operation.
Section 2 of 6 · Order flow
Wayfair Purchase Order Management
How Wayfair POs move into InfiPlex, out to fulfillment, and back with tracking.
InfiPlex pulls new purchase orders from your Wayfair supplier account approximately every 15 minutes — faster if needed. POs arrive with line items and ship-to details intact and land in the same order queue as your Amazon, Walmart, and webstore orders, ready to route to a warehouse or 3PL.
Yes — when a PO ships, from your own warehouse through InfiPlex's 100+ carrier integrations or from a connected 3PL, the tracking posts back to Wayfair automatically. On a dropship marketplace, tracking speed is a supplier performance issue, so this automation protects your standing as much as it saves labor.
Yes — the OMS routes Wayfair POs to a connected 3PL or WMS (ShipStation, ShipHero, Extensiv, and many more via the 3PL Connector) based on rules you set. The 3PL ships, tracking flows back through InfiPlex to Wayfair, and inventory adjusts across every channel at once.
That's the core of the product: Wayfair joins the same queue as Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, and 130+ other integrations, so your team picks, packs, and ships everything from one screen. Big furniture-freight POs and small-parcel marketplace orders live in one workflow instead of two.
Wayfair measures suppliers on the operational basics — shipping on time, confirming tracking promptly, and not selling stock you can't ship. InfiPlex automates exactly those mechanics: POs surface immediately, tracking posts back without manual entry, and the real-time inventory feed keeps your availability honest, which together protect the metrics Wayfair cares about.

Wayfair Inventory Feeds & Sync
How InfiPlex keeps your Wayfair availability accurate against every other channel.
InfiPlex multi-channel inventory sync includes managing inventory levels for all your SKUs across every warehouse. InfiPlex maintains one master inventory pool and feeds Wayfair real-time availability from it, so when a unit sells on Amazon or your webstore, your Wayfair feed adjusts too. The InfiPlex real-time inventory sync helps prevent overselling on Wayfair and all of your connected marketplaces — on a dropship marketplace, that's the difference between a clean operation and a backorder apology.
Yes — the InfiPlex Inventory Tool lets you set Safety Stock for each SKU, holding back a set quantity from what shows as available on Wayfair. That's useful for bulky items where an oversell means an expensive, slow recovery. You can also set a Reorder Point to flag when a SKU needs replenishing, along with Delivery Lead Time and Bin Location for your own warehouse operations.
Safety Stock is set independently per SKU, so Wayfair can carry a different cushion than your parcel-friendly channels.
Use the built-in Inventory Tool for direct edits, the Inventory Upload tool for spreadsheet changes, scheduled FTP feeds, or automated pulls from supplier systems. One update in InfiPlex propagates to Wayfair and every other connected channel.
Yes — the OMS tracks stock across multiple warehouses and 3PLs and routes each PO to the right source based on your rules. Wayfair sees clean availability; InfiPlex manages where the units actually live, which matters for oversized goods positioned regionally.
Catalog setup on Wayfair follows Wayfair's supplier onboarding process, and the optional Product Information Management (PIM) system on Growth Pro automates ongoing SKU data flows to your marketplaces. Our team scopes the Wayfair data mapping with you during setup.
Section 4 of 6 · Furniture-scale fulfillment
Freight, LTL & Oversized Fulfillment
How bulky, freight-class goods route alongside standard parcel orders.
InfiPlex supports 100+ carriers and integrates with 3PLs and WMS platforms that specialize in oversized and LTL fulfillment, so bulky-goods routing follows the same rules-based flow as parcels. Our team configures your carrier and 3PL mix during onboarding to match how your freight actually moves.
No — freight and LTL shipments route through the same rules-based engine as small-parcel orders, just directed to carriers and 3PL partners equipped to handle them. You're not managing a separate workflow for bulky goods.
Yes — routing rules can direct freight-class Wayfair orders to a 3PL or warehouse equipped for LTL handling while parcel orders route elsewhere, all through the 3PL Connector or your own warehouse setup.
Multi-warehouse routing lets you position bulky goods closer to where Wayfair demand concentrates, reducing freight distance and cost, while InfiPlex still reconciles inventory as one pool regardless of which location fulfills.
Yes — tracking confirmations from freight and LTL carriers flow back to Wayfair the same way parcel tracking does, keeping your supplier performance metrics consistent regardless of shipment type.
Yes — many suppliers forward-position freight-class, fast-moving items in CastleGate specifically because Wayfair handles the outbound freight delivery, while lower-velocity bulky items stay on dropship from your own dock.
Section 5 of 6 · Home goods growth
Growing on Wayfair & Beyond
Where Wayfair fits in a home goods brand's channel mix, and how InfiPlex extends it.
Wayfair's shoppers arrive specifically to buy furniture and home goods, so category intent is built in — you're not fighting general-marketplace noise for a sofa sale. The dropship model also means no inventory commitment to launch: list broadly, let demand reveal winners, then decide what deserves CastleGate positioning.
Yes — InfiPlex integrates both, and a mixed strategy is common: fast movers forward-positioned in CastleGate for delivery speed, the long tail fulfilled dropship from your warehouse. Both flows share the same master inventory pool so nothing double-sells.
Yes — InfiPlex handles retail EDI connections like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Target through the same hub, and in many cases significantly reduces or eliminates EDI VAN costs. Wayfair plus retail EDI is the classic home-brand expansion path, and it runs on one inventory pool here.
Most home brands run all three: Amazon and Walmart for reach, Wayfair for category-intent shoppers and merchandising built for home goods. InfiPlex treats each as a channel on the shared pool, so adding Wayfair doesn't add a second operation — just a second revenue stream.
Yes — the 3PL Connector program lets a 3PL connect each client's Wayfair supplier account and other channels, with each client in its own Site Area — a common setup for 3PLs specializing in furniture and home goods fulfillment.
Section 6 of 6 · Plans & costs
Wayfair Integration Pricing & Plans
What connecting Wayfair to InfiPlex costs, and which plan fits.
Wayfair connects on every InfiPlex plan as a standard connection. Basic Starter is $49.99/month with up to 2,000 SKUs at $0.50 per order; Growth Starter is $499.99/month with 10,000 SKUs and 1,000 orders included ($0.10 per additional order); Growth Pro is $999.99/month with 100,000 SKUs and 10,000 orders included ($0.05 per additional order). Full details are on the Pricing page.
Suppliers testing Wayfair alongside one or two other channels often start on Basic Starter or Growth Starter, then move up as PO volume and SKU count grow, or when CastleGate and multi-warehouse routing add complexity worth Growth Pro's ERP connections.
Growth packages carry a 3-month minimum commitment and Partner packages a 12-month term; Basic Starter is month-to-month. Schedule a demo and we'll scope the right plan against your channel mix.
No — connecting CastleGate alongside Wayfair dropship is included on every plan. You're billed based on SKU count and order volume, not the number of Wayfair fulfillment paths you use.

NetSuitePush orders & revenue into your ERP of record
Wayfair's dropship model makes your operations part of their customer promise: Wayfair sells the sofa, and your warehouse has to ship it on time with tracking that posts fast. InfiPlex turns that into routine — Wayfair purchase orders pull into the same queue as your other channels, route to the right warehouse or 3PL (including freight-capable partners for oversized goods), and return tracking automatically, while your inventory feed to Wayfair updates in real time so you're never selling stock you don't have.
The InfiPlex Wayfair sync rail: dropship purchase orders flow from Wayfair into the OMS, route to your warehouse or 3PL for shipment, and return tracking to Wayfair automatically — while your real-time inventory feed keeps Wayfair availability aligned with every other channel.
