EasyPost Integration FAQs: keep your rate-shopping API, add real multichannel OMS

EasyPost is a widely used shipping API that rate-shops across 100+ carriers from a single integration — but it isn't built to be the multichannel order and inventory brain behind a growing operation. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) aggregates every sales channel into one queue, keeps inventory synced everywhere in real time, and hands EasyPost exactly the orders that need labels.

Section 1 of 5 · Getting connected

EasyPost Integration & Setup

How the InfiPlex EasyPost connection works, and what it's actually for.

What is the InfiPlex EasyPost integration?

The InfiPlex EasyPost integration connects your existing EasyPost account to the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. InfiPlex aggregates orders from every sales channel you run, sends shipment-ready orders to EasyPost for multi-carrier rate shopping and label generation, and pushes the resulting tracking back out to the originating marketplace or storefront.

Do I need to already have an EasyPost account?

Yes — this integration connects an existing EasyPost account to InfiPlex. If you don't use EasyPost, InfiPlex's built-in shipping already covers 100+ carriers directly, so EasyPost isn't a requirement to ship through InfiPlex.

How do I connect EasyPost to InfiPlex?

Setup is quick and simple: our USA-based team links your EasyPost account using its API key during onboarding. There's nothing to install and no developer needed.

How long does EasyPost setup take with InfiPlex?

Most sellers are live in 1–3 business days. The connection itself completes quickly; the rest of the window goes to confirming which order types route to EasyPost versus InfiPlex's own carrier connections.

How Orders Flow Between InfiPlex & EasyPost

The mechanics of what moves where, and why it's organized this way.

How does an order get from InfiPlex to EasyPost?

Once an order is ready to ship, InfiPlex sends it to EasyPost, which then rate-shops across your configured carriers and generates the label using either EasyPost's wallet carriers or your own connected carrier accounts.

What EasyPost handles once an order reaches it, and how that data returns to InfiPlex.

Has EasyPost's pricing changed recently?

Yes — EasyPost has made multiple pricing changes in 2026, including a per-label cost increase in February and a 3% fee on USPS spend for PC Postage (Wallet Carrier) customers starting June 1, 2026. These are EasyPost's own pricing decisions, unrelated to InfiPlex's plan pricing; confirm current EasyPost rates directly with them if cost is a deciding factor.

Section 4 of 5 · EasyPost vs. built-in shipping

When to Use EasyPost vs. InfiPlex's Built-In Shipping

Both are available — here's how sellers typically decide.

Do I need EasyPost if I use InfiPlex?

No — InfiPlex includes its own shipping across 100+ carriers built in, so EasyPost isn't required. This integration exists for sellers who already have EasyPost workflows, carrier accounts, or automation rules they want to keep using.

Why would I use EasyPost instead of InfiPlex's built-in shipping?

Common reasons include existing EasyPost carrier account relationships, developer-built workflows around its API, or automation rules already in place that aren't worth rebuilding. InfiPlex's value in that case is the multichannel order aggregation and inventory sync layered on top.

Section 5 of 5 · Plans & costs

EasyPost Integration Pricing & Plans

What connecting EasyPost to InfiPlex costs, and which plan fits.

How much does the InfiPlex EasyPost integration cost?

EasyPost connects on every InfiPlex plan. Basic Starter is $49.99/month with up to 2,000 SKUs at $0.50 per order; Growth Starter is $499.99/month with 10,000 SKUs and 1,000 orders included ($0.10 per additional order); Growth Pro is $999.99/month with 100,000 SKUs and 10,000 orders included ($0.05 per additional order). Full details are on the Pricing page.

Do I pay for EasyPost and InfiPlex separately?

Yes — your existing EasyPost costs (per-label fees, BYOCA subscription if applicable, and any carrier-specific charges like the current USPS fee) are billed by EasyPost as usual; InfiPlex's plan and per-order pricing are separate.

Is there a long-term contract?

Growth packages carry a 3-month minimum commitment and Partner packages a 12-month term; Basic Starter is month-to-month. Schedule a demo and we'll walk through how InfiPlex and your existing EasyPost setup fit together.

How it works

How the InfiPlex EasyPost integration works

Think of EasyPost as the rate-shopping and label engine, and InfiPlex as the layer above it that actually aggregates every sales channel into one order queue and keeps inventory accurate across all of them. InfiPlex sends orders that need shipping over to EasyPost, EasyPost returns the rate, label, and tracking information across whichever carriers you've connected, and InfiPlex pushes that tracking back out to whichever marketplace or storefront the order came from.

Flow diagram: EasyPost sends new orders to the InfiPlex Order Management System about every 15 minutes. InfiPlex pushes tracking numbers and real-time inventory back to EasyPost, and routes orders to Your Sales Channels, Your Warehouses, Other Carriers for fulfillment. The InfiPlex EasyPost sync rail: orders that need shipping flow from the OMS into EasyPost for multi-carrier rate shopping and label generation, EasyPost returns tracking and rate data, and InfiPlex pushes that tracking out to whichever sales channel the order came from — while inventory stays reconciled across every connected channel in one pool.
