Target Plus Integration FAQs: the invite-only marketplace, operationally solved
Target Plus is Target's curated, invitation-only marketplace — and unlike open marketplaces, sellers are expected to operate through an approved API integration rather than hand-managing orders in a portal. The InfiPlex™ Inventory & Order Management System (OMS) provides exactly that: a fully automated Target Plus connection that pulls your orders, confirms tracking, and keeps inventory accurate across every channel. Below are the questions Target Plus sellers and invite-seeking brands ask us most.
The InfiPlex Target Plus integration is a fully automated API connection between your Target Plus seller account and the InfiPlex Inventory & Order Management System. All of your Target Plus orders are pulled into the OMS so you can process and ship through your preferred shipping carrier, shipping software, or ERP, while tracking numbers and SKU inventory levels flow back to Target automatically. It eliminates the need for additional software, hardware, or IT resources — which matters on Target Plus, where API-driven operations are the expected way to sell.
Target built Target Plus around curated partners operating at retail standard, and day-to-day selling runs through API integrations — there's no expectation that partners hand-key orders and tracking in a portal at scale. Approved integration platforms handle orders, inventory, and shipment confirmations programmatically. InfiPlex provides that layer, so joining Target Plus doesn't mean building or buying custom infrastructure.
Once Target has invited you and your partner account is established, sign up for an InfiPlex package and our team provisions your OMS site and completes the Target Plus API connection with you. Our USA-based support team handles the credential exchange and SKU mapping as part of included onboarding — no code on your side.
Most sellers are live in 1–3 business days once their Target Plus partner account is active. The OMS site is provisioned within 1–2 business days of sign-up, and the API connection plus SKU mapping typically completes within the onboarding window. If Target has given you a launch date, tell us and we'll work to it.
Yes — Target Plus connects beside Walmart, Amazon, Shopify, and 130+ other integrations, all drawing from one inventory pool and one order workflow. Most Target Plus partners are established multichannel brands already, so consolidating everything into one OMS is usually the operational upgrade that comes with the invitation.
Target Plus is Target's third-party marketplace: you're the seller of record on Target.com, paying a referral fee per sale. Target DVS (Drop Ship Vendor) is a vendor relationship where Target buys from you and you drop-ship on Target's behalf, traditionally over EDI. InfiPlex supports both — see the Target DVS EDI integration — and some brands run both models side by side from the same OMS.

Order Management & Seller-Fulfilled Shipping
How Target Plus orders flow through InfiPlex and how to hit Target's fulfillment standards.
InfiPlex automatically pulls your open Target Plus orders into the OMS about every 15 minutes, with faster syncs available if needed. Orders arrive ready to fulfill — items, quantities, service level, customer details — and can be processed in the OMS, your warehouse or shipping application, or your ERP without any manual retrieval.
You do — Target Plus is a seller-fulfilled marketplace, so partners ship from their own warehouses or 3PLs rather than through a Target fulfillment service. That makes your fulfillment operation the customer experience, which is exactly why Target screens for operational maturity. InfiPlex supplies that maturity: automated order flow, batch shipping, instant tracking, and multi-warehouse routing.
The moment you purchase a shipping label, InfiPlex sends the tracking number back to Target Plus automatically. Target holds marketplace partners to retail-grade shipping expectations, and prompt valid tracking is the backbone of those metrics — automating it means your performance never depends on someone remembering to paste a number.
InfiPlex includes shipping tools supporting 100+ carriers — UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS with Commercial Plus pricing via the integrated EasyPost connection. Rate-shop per order, automate carrier selection, and batch-print labels; external platforms like ShipStation are supported too.
Yes. Orders can route automatically to connected 3PL/WMS partners — ShipHero, Extensiv, Logiwa, and others in the directory — or flow through your ERP, with NetSuite connections included on Growth Pro. Ship confirmations return through InfiPlex to Target automatically, so outsourced or ERP-driven fulfillment still meets Target's bar.

Inventory Sync & Availability
Keeping Target.com quantities accurate against every other channel you sell on.
InfiPlex updates each SKU's available quantity on Target Plus as units sell on Target or any other connected channel, so Target.com always reflects true availability. Manual updates run through the Inventory Tool and Inventory Upload, FTP feeds can ingest warehouse or supplier quantities on schedule, and custom programming can pull stock data from anywhere else it lives.
Yes. Per-channel buffers hold back a safety quantity on Target — showing, say, 46 available when 50 are on the shelf — protecting you from oversells when several channels share the same pool. Given how much weight Target puts on partner reliability, a modest buffer on shared-stock SKUs is cheap insurance for your standing in the program.
Because the marketplace is curated: Target selected you, per-category assortment is deliberately limited, and cancellations reflect directly on a relationship Target can end. An oversell on an open marketplace costs a metric point; on Target Plus it spends trust with a retail partner. Channel-wide sync plus buffers exist to make that failure mode structurally unlikely.
Yes — multiple warehouses are supported on every package. Availability rolls up across locations so Target sees your true network-wide quantity, orders route to the right location by your rules, and each location's ship confirmations flow back to Target through the OMS.
Yes. If your ERP is the system of record, InfiPlex synchronizes with it — NetSuite-class connections are included on Growth Pro — and FTP feeds or custom pulls cover other sources. Whatever feeds the OMS becomes the availability Target Plus and every other channel display.

Getting Invited & Understanding Target Plus
How the invite-only model works, what Target looks for, and why the channel is worth pursuing.
Target Plus has no open application in the way Walmart or Amazon do — Target curates its partners, evaluating brand quality, category fit, catalog content standards, and operational track record, and you can express interest through Target's partner channels at plus.target.com. Brands that present a professional multichannel operation — clean catalog data, strong fulfillment metrics, an established integration platform — make an materially easier 'yes.' InfiPlex can't issue invitations, but it makes you the kind of partner Target invites.
Target Plus remains deliberately small — on the order of a couple thousand curated partners rather than Amazon's millions — but it's one of the fastest-growing pieces of Target's digital business, with marketplace sales recently growing well over 50% year over year and Target publicly targeting multi-billion-dollar marketplace volume by 2030. Small assortment plus surging traffic is the rare marketplace math that favors the seller.
Target Plus charges a referral fee per sale — generally in the 5–15% range depending on category — with no monthly marketplace subscription fee. Terms are set by Target and can change, so confirm current rates in your partner agreement. Compared with fee stacks on other major marketplaces, many partners find Target Plus economics attractive, especially given the limited competition.
Target Plus generally lists one seller per UPC — there's no shared listing with a rotating buy box the way open marketplaces work. Win a spot for your products and you're effectively the sole third-party source for them on Target.com, which makes each SKU you place there disproportionately valuable and worth protecting with flawless fulfillment.
Retail-grade ones: accurate item content, dependable inventory availability, on-time seller-fulfilled shipping, valid tracking, and low cancellation rates — the same bar Target's own supply chain is held to. These are precisely the outputs InfiPlex automates, which is why an OMS isn't an accessory for Target Plus; it's the qualification.
Yes — the preparation is simply running your existing channels impeccably on infrastructure Target recognizes. Centralize Amazon, Walmart, and your webstore in InfiPlex, clean up catalog data with the PIM, and build the fulfillment metrics that make curation teams comfortable. When the invitation comes, go-live is days, not a project.
Section 5 of 5 · Plans & fit
Pricing & Platform Fit
What the Target Plus integration costs and which package fits a curated-marketplace seller.
Target Plus is included in every InfiPlex package with no separate app fee. Basic Starter is $49.99/month for up to 2,000 SKUs with orders at $0.50 each; Growth Starter is $499.99/month with 1,000 orders included ($0.10 after); Growth Pro is $999.99/month with 10,000 orders included ($0.05 after) and adds ERP connections and the PIM.
Target Plus partners are typically established brands with meaningful multichannel volume, so most land on Growth Starter or Growth Pro — the included-order blocks, Marketplace Repricer, API access, and (on Pro) NetSuite-class ERP connections match the profile. Schedule a free consultation and we'll size it against your combined channel volume.
No — connections to any available integration are unlimited within your package, so adding Target Plus beside your existing channels costs nothing additional. The only exception is setups requiring an isolated Site Area configuration, which add $25/month and which our team flags up front if they apply.
Growth packages carry a 3-month commitment; partner programs like the 3PL Client Connector run 12 months. Full terms are on the pricing page, and Target's own marketplace terms are governed by your Target Plus partner agreement.
Connect the rest of your stack
Pair Target Plus with the systems you already run
InfiPlex connects Target Plus with 130+ marketplaces, carts, shipping platforms, 3PLs, WMS, and ERP systems — and our Growth Packages include building new API integrations you need at no additional cost.
Target Plus keeps its assortment curated and its operations standardized: sellers fulfill their own orders and connect through approved API integrations rather than manual portal work. InfiPlex slots directly into that model — your Target Plus orders pull into the OMS automatically, ship through your preferred carrier, shipping software, or ERP, and tracking plus real-time inventory flow back to Target and every other channel you sell on, with no additional software, hardware, or IT resources.
The InfiPlex Target Plus sync rail: Target Plus orders flow into the OMS, which routes seller-fulfilled shipping through your warehouses, 3PL, or ERP and returns tracking numbers and real-time inventory to Target Plus and every other connected channel.
